Nope.. I've tried to play them, but after about 10 min or so I'm bored to tears. They are pretty, but I just can't get into them. Loved the time I got to spend playing TESO tho.. guess I'm one of the weird ones.
I could only handle the beta for less than two hours if that, horrible... I was motivated to exit ESO and play Skyrim which was 1000X more entertaining.
I thought it was funny when I got the pop-up "would you buy this game" poll. I was like hell no!
I like the ES games but for some reason I can never finish them. I think im on my 3rd or 4th trek through Skyrim and havent played for months now. Same with Oblivion and Morrowind. Hell even Fallout 3 seems to end the same with me every time!
I think it just gets too repetitive for too long. Not that the game is shallow by any means but when youre playing for so long trying to get things done and youre basically just heading into some cave and/or "ancient ruin" every single time ... you just gradually lose interest.
Always swapping between Morrowind and Skyrim. I never seem to get drawn back to Oblivion. Not sure why. It was a good game... Skyrim and Morrowind might just be more fun.

Yeah, I am playing Skyrim because it's fun and nothing else comparable is really out there aside from other Bethesda games I have already played to death too. That has nothing to do with getting into the lore because if I am honest they really need to re-boot they are supposedly building up to to get rid of the sick stupid stuff like Altmer eugenics and baby killing they typically try to cover or wood elf cannibalism. I mean if you delve into the lore its an old school D&D game brought to PC with all the bad hang ups.
Ive played about 100 hrs of Skyrim and since Eldevin launch I have been playing that almost exclusively. Just love the crafting in that game. Anyway, I hope to actually get back to Skyrim at some point. I have yet to try Morrowind. Not enough time in the day! I am now leaning towards staying away from ESO, so might just stick to the single player experience.
Just some info to pass on if you all are interested. This overhaul/mod whatever you want to call it is very good in combining Morrowind and Oblivion into one game. You can travel between the two games and it uses the Oblivion graphics in Morrowind making it look so much better. It isn't bug free, but it is definitely worth trying.

I think it is how you perceive things. Perhaps that is why this discussion was brought up to change the mindset of players. If you go into this game thinking of WoW and GW2 that is probably what you will get out of it. Playing the single player games helps you with the lore that will continue into the online game.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

Tried Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, but never got pulled into them. I gave this series three chances, because of all the praise and popularity, but it just wasn't my thing, despite the fact I love rpg's. I want to give this lore one more go with the online version, because it might suit my tastes better.
My favorite TES game has to be "Daggerfall". That game concept was ahead of its time but it had quite a few bugs in it. I wish they would make a updated version of it with better graphics and bug free.

if you love rpg's i cannot fathom how you could not love skyrim. it is literally the epitomy of a single player rpg, once you have all the expansions.
thought about it a sec, ok it might not be the pinnacle, imho, Moria, or angband is up there too

It would take another thread to explain it, but let's just say that this genre is varied enough for people to like one title and dislike another, and Elder Scroll series are a genre in itself. Very characteristic gameplay that doesn't necessary appeal to every rpg player. I played Baldurs Gate million times, Fallout 1 gazillion times, played TES games few hours each and couldn't stick around for longer. You could try to figure out the differences between those games do understand where I come from. For me the two titles I just mentioned would be at the top, while your personal holy grail would be much lower. Just a matter of taste.

I'm not a TES fan, simply because I never really tried. I became an online games junkie over the years.
I played a bit of Skirim but didn't get into it so much, probably due to the reason I mentioned above.
However, I think if they manage keep the RP and exploration in their online version it will be a great game.

Marrowind was another one I liked.
Oblivions leveling system was a turn off for me.
Skyrim is really good. The only TES game I beat.
Been on Skyrim quite a bit

I do hope TESO will be a good game.
My thought exactly.
