So now you've went from "It doesn't get any more on rails than that" to "the noob experience is 100% on rails". I don't care if you dislike the game for some reason but at least be consistent and tell the whole story.
I've been talking about the first 10 levels only the entire time, that's all that press previews were allowed to talk about - the rest is under NDA.
Not sure how you missed that? Read the previous line in my post - it says noob islands - that's what I am talking about obviously.
Oh, you got me there. Well, except for this little tidbit : "For this week's press NDA drop, we were allowed to cover anything up to level 15............" Statement by William Murphy in his article "The Elder Scrolls Online Previews: The Comprehensive Good and Bad of ESO" from this actual website.
So feel free to update your comments based on these articles. Your first "on rails" comment was obviously an exaggeration. If you're not off the starter island by level 10 then you are taking it extremely slow.
I suggested more quest rewards, tailored to your class, or at least a choice in what rewards you get.
I was playing a Sorc and repeatedly got shields, axes, heavy armor, etc.
Also the "level restrictions" on many of the quest rewards were annoying.. Seeing as how I solo'd a quest at level 10, why is my reward restricted to level 13+ players?
Yeah that was a gripe of mine too. At least give a few options of a quest reward. 90% were useless to me.
I wrote for removal of the first 10 levels of on-rails questing, or just being able to AvAvA at lvl 2 after character creation.
That's the biggest hurdle IMO.
Same thing I sighted and same issue. I hit the wall around level 6, which was shocking, I've never run out of steam for a new mmo that early before.
Did either of you actually get out and explore? This is an ES game and exploration is part of it. I found more quests, caves to explore, and a treasure map by just running around, and I didn't get any character to level 6 either so I was in the same areas you were. If you didn't then it's your own damn fault for playing it like WoW/EQ2/etc. If you guys did get out then I can't help ya. It just sounds like neither of you did though.

Playing on rails is all anyone who only started playing MMOs in the last five years will know. It is hardly surprising that many players are not going of the beaten track. Modern MMOs have educated players to thinking MMO landscapes are small ribbons of land interspaced with a few hubs. GW2 and a couple of others deserve a honourable mention, they were a step in the right direction. Apart from a few acceptations like that the worlds have been tiny.
ESO is going to challenge that preconception, if you wander of to a ruin you can see, chances are there will be something there. Unlike most modern MMOs, landmarks in ESO indicate action, not just scenery.

GW2 didn't have hearts in early Beta. People felt lost about where to go so they added them. Maybe it was scouts, but I'm pretty sure it was the heart quests. GW2 would have felt way more open with just the DE's.
Couple things I asked for:
1. Give AvA commanders the ability to assign targets to parties within their raid groups. This will allow 4 random pug members in a raid 4 man group to have a specific goal and work together.
2. Add more elite mobs and areas to the open world PvE. The elite mobds I found were a blast when I was grouped with fiends and or random players. Force grouping. Force group game play. PvE was way too easy. We've had 10 years of solo MMOs. Lets have challenges again in designated areas. Not required for people who play MMOs solo. Dark Anchors are almost auto attack with 6 or more people.

The lack of chat bubbles is a real issue for roleplayers, apart from that I agree with you.
