Final verdict. This product in my eyes is not fit for launch. Nor is it worthy for a subscription model. Even if you like this game. You should feel insulted that you are expected to pay monthly for this.
I will not be playing this at launch.
Well thank you for your opinion...take your hate mongering somewhere else
The game is ok but that is the best I can say for it at this time. It is definitely not worth the box price and a sub. Maybe one or the other but not both. I am sure things will improve and the prices will come down. I can wait to play until then.
I didn't like the combat, the world is so bland, and most importantly its just another themepark... I really hope one day they but the MMO back into MMO.
Those who enjoy it! good luck! may ESO last for however long it does.
I won't be. Maybe when it hits the bargin bins after going free to play...
I notice quite a few people saying "I will, because it sucks less than the other MMO's out there". Do you REALLY feel that you MUST always be playing an MMO? Isn't that a sign of addiction? If there aren't any MMO's you like, there are other things to do. Single player games, even pen-and-paper RPG's. Of course, I'm not crazy... so I wont' suggest stupid stuff like going outside.
The game, overall, is fun (to me), but it's not worth the price. I can likely get just as much entertainment time out of Skyrim (which I have NOT played yet) without any subscription fee, and for half the box price. If it were like Guild Wars 2 (retail, no subscription), I'd probably buy it. If it were subscription ONLY (no retail box purchase), I'd also pay for 3 months. But, it just doesn't feel like it's good enough for both yet.
I won't be purchasing it at launch, probably ever. The main reason why... there is no hook. What I mean by that is I have had two full weekends where I could play as much as I would like for no cost and it didn't draw me in enough to play more than maybe 6-8 hours total over both weekends.
yes. Bought the pre-orders for my son and me on sale at Gamefly before the sale ended Feb 28th. We have had great fun, and anyone who quits this game before they try PvP is not doing it justice. Not that I care personally, because every lukewarm person that doesn't buy is one less forum whiner when the game goes live.
Yes and so are the 8 of my friends of played beta. Been wanting in elder scrolls online game since I first played oblivion at age 14. Pretty much satisfies all of my needs in an mmo....besides under water swimming...................................................-_-
For people still hesitating, please make sure to test the next beta and play it for more than 5 hours, beyond level 8.
Something in the game gets you hooked/addicted. Me, streamers, angry joe, experienced this. First I was bashing the game, but then, something happened and I really felt it. Something I didn't feel in years of mmo's. Addiction. Pretty good sign imo
And yes, the team is qualified, so please play the beta, report as much as possible and they will fix whatever needs fixing !
Get it for a better price , maybe that will help you decide
I was a big fan of wildstar , but playing wildstar, I didnt feel that same adiction factor, its just another quest hub based game with a couple of new features. So teso is going to be my game!

Nope. I like the game but I don't pay for MMOs anymore. I'll play it when it goes f2p. That goes for all new MMOs, not just ESO.
Currently Playing: DAOC Uthgard
Previously Played: UO, DAOC, Shadowbane, AC2, SWG, Horizons, COX, WOW, EQ2, LOTRO, AOC, WAR, Vanguard, Rift, SWTOR, ESO, GW2.
