Its unrealistic to think a level 10-15 bumped up to 50 in Cryodiil would be nearly as effective as a fully developed level 50 toon. Not broken at all.

That guy is a lvl 50 Emperor vs bolstered people auto attacking him....

Emperor = 50% more healing, 100% bonus to stamina/magicka/hp, 100% regen bonus, 200% ultimate gain...

A bolstered toon gets half the stats a normal level 50 has... since this guy was also an emperor he had 2-3 times the stats of everyone there. Since damage scales with total magicka.... he also did double damage...

Also, they did not CC him... imagine the same fights but people keep him stunned... he would die without being able to do anything. DK is not that OP, he killed other dk`s easy... because they were level 10-15 and bolster doesn`t even give you any crit or anything.

Your experience as a DK will not be the same unless you can convince people to auto-attack you.

I'm sorry I'm just a noob, how do you know that he's the empire? Is there any kind of icon or something?

I also aware that not everyone there are level 10-15, there are also a lot of level 50s attacking him. Is he worth more thant all those people combined?

OP should have emphasised emperor title and explain what it is. Also my guess is he was fighting random unorganised low level noobs.

You can read more about emperor here:

Emperor not empire, its a title, hard to get... and it gives you all the buffs i said above... that and the fact that he is 50 essentially means that he has 3k+ magicka while a bolstered level 50 will have 1k.... the emperor also gets +50% healing and so on.

He is also not CC`d in any way... one person spamming stuns on him would kill him. There are many things the other people don`t know how to do or don`t have the skills yet.... but his class is not OP in any way. He is also melee range, kiting him works too. DK`s are melee range/short range only his staff attack has a bigger range...

Either way, any class with aoe damage and a resto staff would do the same thing he is doing.... don`t think DK`s are that strong... he is actually killing other DK`s by the dozen there :)

I saw some stuns but from my understanding you break stuns using both mouse buttons and then become immune to CC for 8 seconds, so stunlocking cant really be done in this game like most other games.

How is crowd control going to be applied in massive PvPs (ie: how often am I going to get pulled/knocked down/staggered/rooted/knocked away)? Are there any crowd control immunities? – By Dara Ghorban

Coordinating crowd control and immunities certainly is a big part of the strategy in massive PvP battles. There are many different types of crowd control (including all the ones you mention), as well as a variety of ways to cope with them. Here are some examples, in no particular order:

    • The heavy armor skill includes an ability called “Immovable” that costs stamina and makes you immune to stuns and knockbacks and staggers for 8 seconds.
    • The CC breaker is a core mechanic available to all players. If you are currently affected by a crowd control ability, you can tap both mouse buttons to break out of it and become immune for 8 seconds. This costs quite a bit of stamina, however, so it’s something you want to do at the right time.

I agree, they might be bit to strong, they do need to be tweaked a bit, but I could be wrong, maybe after a few months when most players are level 50 with good gear It might not seem so overpowered, who knows...

I actually love what I am seeing here. It diverges from the usual politically correct, gotta be fair PVP that we see in most MMOs. Certain games release constant balance patches adjusting the damage up 1% or down 1% trying to please complaining players.

What I am seeing honestly probably needs to be balanced just a bit, although not to much, but I definitely like the advantage that comes with being an emperor. It provides something tangible to work toward, and it provides a tangible threat that people will have to come together to defeat. I imagine that there will be some complaining from those people that whine  every time someone is capable of doing 1 point of damage more than they can, but I do think this might be an interesting mechanic.

In GW2, for example, winning is really irrelevant. This is why keeps are regularly not defended. It is more beneficial to just swap them. The only real objective is to have a numerical advantage at the end of the week. In ESO, there is a real tangible benefit associated with winning and losing objectives.

I agree but if you kite him a bit he uses stamina to chase you down, then you stun him.... and he dies. Healing debuffs also work and so on....

Anyway nothing special but yet nobody did anything.

I've played many of the more popular MMOs that have come out over the last 10 years. The only game that has really jumped leaps and bounds over other MMOs, in terms of how combat looks and feels, is GW2. I don't like their overall combat system because of the dps meta and the locked weapon skills, but the look and feel definitely surpasses anything else on the market.  ESO combat definitely needs some polishing because it could be smoother and flow a bit better, but other than GW2, I can't think of anything else that is a great deal better or worse than what I've experienced in ESO and I haven't even seen the final product yet.

AOC by far best combat animations and combat in general especially melee.  GW2 was very polished but pales in comparison to the aesthetic and skill required in aoc.

Aoc also had no ridiculous auto attack and no running through enemies as if they were air.  Not fun in the least gw2.

After playing years of AoC, I actually felt the GW2 combat system is pretty boring, atleast on Warrior. Well thats my personal thought, but I actually really hate meele combat where the full screen is or the whole animations are filled with stupid lightning effects, which don't fit at all.
