A tip to improve performance

Hello. I have a little tip that can improve performance of the game. If you're getting really bad FPS, as well as having trouble with nameplates not showing, here's something you should try. It worked for me, but I can't promise it'll work for everyone. Basically what you want to do, is run the game in DirectX 9 rather than 11. You do it by going to your Wildstar icon on your desktop, right-clicking it, and hitting properties. In properties, under "Target" add " -dx9" (without quotation marks) at the end. Start the client again and see the results. Good luck.

Some weekends ago, you could manually start the 64bit.exe for the 64bit client. They changed something about it, so now the launcher automatically starts the 64bit client when a 64b OS is detected. In return, trying to run it manually you'll get the error message you mentioned.

Start the game with the launcher and then check your taskmanager for the .exe to see that 64bit is in fact running.
