$60 just to try out the game and see if i'll like it? Terrible deal. It's not like this is my first mmorpg and looks so fun! I've cycled through so many mmorpgs (as you probably have) and uninstalled it within 15 minutes.
Where's the trial? I don't care if it's a 1-day trial, you can get a pretty good feeling of the game and mainly combat just by playing the game for a few minutes.
Nah, I did research. I saw the threads and all about the guest passes. I wasn't really that interested in the game to the point of enrolling in a giveaway. This post was more of a "leave a feedback and move on".
So you didn't bother trying the free open beta and you don't want to post a request for a 7 day trial / buddy pass but feel the need to post a complaint that game is too expensive and needs a free trial.
I'm guessing you want Jeremy Gaffney to come to your house and install it for you too.
trying a beta can't compare to a real server. I tried so many in the past where you just end up spending more time trying to log on than actually playing.
I think a company that truly believes their product is good, will have trials from day 1.
It is just as if they would like you to spend first and then find out their product is crap.
I know its industry practice now, but it does not make sense in the views of the consumers.
A trial is a way of you knowing if the product is good or not before buying, and not providing a trial is a sure sign that they are not sure the majority of the public will like.
Just go to a legit website and look for a review if you want a close guess as to the game being acceptable or not. IGN has been one of my favorite places. IGN Website for Wildstar. Another is PC Gamer.
Most new games have weeks of beta prior to release, this is when I check out games first hand and lend some feedback to the developers. /shrug
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

Why would they care to when there servers are jammed with paying customers =-) They did their open beta to let people try it for free. Im sure once things settle down and the MMO hoppers leave they will give some kinda demo but right now with all the trial keys and paying customers their hands are full.
While they did have a free trial, I agree at this point the price is way too much to try. You could try and get a pass code from someone, but for me, even after trying this game, I found the game not worth the price and monthly sub.

Many people are having problems running this game, even high end machines.
Handing trials out now would make it impossible to get people's money if they can try it first.
