No FFXIV and no FFXI the only forced group mmorpg where you couldn't progress solo which makes it the only true mmorpg.
Change title to top 10 solo mmo
edit: best graphics is FFXIV ARR no other game mmo or single player rpg comes even close to it.

Really? Ever tried to solo all the way in Meridian 59? Even EQ was initially very hard to solo to the top.
As for best graphics that really depends on what you consider best, there is polygon count and effects (which can be measured), art, details and the small things that makes the game feel more alive. TERA for example looks stunning but have way too little of the small odd things (like a flower here and there, a weirdly looking unique tree with ravens in and similar stuff).
Then there is also the varieties on how people and monsters look, and how humanoids can dress. That is also part of graphics.
Yep, I agree. That's probably why beyond my 4 it was hard to compare the rest against each other for me. Those top 4 are the ones that I spent well over a year each in, you are absolutely right.
Only ONE game in the last 10 years played like a true MMO and that was FFXi soo
1>7 FFXi
then i can lump a whole pile of part single player sometimes grouping games together sooo....
8 EQ2
9 Vanguard
10 SRO
Everything else under this category,by time those "other" games came out i had already been there done that, nothing new nothing innovative.

Lets see how far I can get.
1: World of Warcraft. Say what you want about wow, ive had more amazing times in wow than any other mmo. Id still play it today but 6 years was enough.
2: Rift. The game after WoW, met what I consider some of my greatest friends on this game. Love the lore, skill system, and look.
3:Vanguard: The game that deserved so much more. The crafting, the diplomacy minigame, and the huge world was so amazing.
4: Lotro: Pre F2P MoM and SoMW was amazing. Probably the best community in a game ive seen to date. Loved the lore (who doesnt?), the deed system, and especially the music system.
5: GW2: Even though the DE system wasnt as innovative as the PR seemed it to be it still was a breath of fresh air when leveling. Has probably my favorite art and graphics to date. Just a shame when you hit 80 that dungeons were a zergfest.
Honorable Mentions: FFXIV, STO, TSW, and Warhammer.
Playing: FFXIV, DnL, and World of Warships
Waiting on: Ashes of Creation
Top 10? I'm not even sure I can come up with a top 5...
1 - EVE Online
2 - World Of Warcraft
3 - Guild Wars
4 - Final Fantasy XIV
5 - ...
Just like I thought :P

1) Asheron's Call
2) Horizons/Istaria
3) Rift
4) EQ
5) WOW
6) Shadowbane
7) Vanguard
8) SWTor
9) Ryzom

8. Vindictis

4. LOTRO
Haven't played Wildstar, Rift, ESO or TSW. No other MMO's I've played ( EQ2, NWO, AoC) stood out such that I even bothered to stay to reach the level cap.
I can't really make a top 10 list, there aren't enough enjoyable titles to make 10.
1. Everquest - Only up to the first five expansions
2. World of Warcraft - Only during its first two years.
3. Vanguard - A buggy mess that is still somehow better than everything that came after it.
To those people saying you can't get that feeling again that you had when you first started playing MMOs. I had that feeling for a good long while on each of these.
Honorable Mention
ESO and Warhammer, they have/had their moments here and there.
