As paying consumers we must adjust to this new freemium model that sprouted out of greed by
game developers.
First they offer you a "deluxe edition" usually with 1-6 months of subscription. The first time I saw
this was in FFXIV and now in Archeage. I guess publishers wanted a cushion for some months
in case their MMO crashes and burns like some have done.
The freemium model is based on free content with a premium account (by paying) . Let these new
games coming that are raping customers be a lesson to you guys. As game developers find new ways
to make cash we must also now be more educated on these new tactics to nickel and dime consumers.
