The only way i see Blade & Soul being more then somewhat successful at this point in the West, is IF our localization launches within the Korean versions current content window; because if a NA version is launched where Blade & soul KR initial launched content-wise, then forget it.

I've been playing BnS on some Russian server which is fully scripted and without bugs (as they claim). The only downside was, the game is only 97% translated to English. The game is beautiful and dynamic and definitely something new. But those instanced zones and those constant grinds, eh, well, I don't like it. But, other than that, I think the game will be a major thing in the future. And yeah, NCSoft, PLEASE, fix those boobs physics. Jesus, since when are boobs so wiggly when standing still? -.-

Not to mention hands down best combat system in an mmo.  Tera coming in a close second.

We might end up a patch or so behind.  But, I highly doubt they would launch it without the content they have now.

But if you take Tera as exemple ... they have at least 6-8 month late from the beginning.

P.T. Barnum obviously underestimated. Paying a single dime to NCSoft, how ever indirectly, is just asking to be sucker-punched.

I was there in Tera beta and intill the F2P conversion.  They were never that far behind.  They were usually only a couple months behind and after a few months after launch they were only a patch or two behind.

That is irrelevant though.  Just because they are both mmos from Korea doesn't mean they have the same developer/publisher.  That is just insane to make that comment.  Also a bit generalized.  You have zero knowledge of what state this game will launch with.  And neither do I.

Dude, it is not the art of Blade & soul that postponed it's release. It's just NCSoft took three years to get off their rear ends because they realized Wildstar wasn't doing well.

Artstyle, gameplay being "unsuitable for western audiences" are terrible excuses. Tons of asian games go west and do well and some are more niche than Blade & Soul.

This game is old now. It's gameplay is nothing surprising and if it doesn't go F2p, it has no chance. The hype train is gone.

sry to tell man, but i've play Tera 3 years .. and as exemple ... the reaper update was about 6 month late about the korean version ... i saw some patch 2-3 month delay, but often 6+

but the main case here is that BnS is WAY to long to bring it to the "US" ...

Ok, but 6 months isn't exactly "years of content" as some like to yell.  Also, the livestream announcement of B&S coming to NA was also said that it would launch with current content/patch that Korea has.  So, unlike Tera, it won't be a few months behind.  It will launch with equal content.  Will they delay patches to NA like Tera does after launch?  Maybe, but we will have to see.
