That said, these are two games I am really looking forward to. I really like the art style, classes and overall feel/concept behind CU. With Crowfall the "sameness" of the classes/characters is offputting, but the ideas behind it and combat style look amazing.
Its a hard call, but atm I am probably more hyped for CU.
In the beginning, when CU was first announced I was the guy that said "never gonna happen" and I won't play it if it does.
However, I appear to have been very wrong on both accounts. It started with the hype train as every game announced here does, then CU basically went silent and went to work. What I have seen recently has grabbed my attention more so than any other game announced recently.
So, I am looking forward to CU, and I most likely will be playing at this point.
Crowfall, is designed by a studio that likes niche games and they are building a game to fit in that niche. While I like some of the systems, and I am in no way saying it is a bad game in general just a bad game for me, so I will be giving it a skip.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
For me, Crowfall sounded interesting, but CU sounded like something I want to play. Additionally, I put my money on CU, so makes sense for me to cast my vote there.
This isn't a knock on Crowfall and I wish both games success. More so, this is just 'first impressions' and subject to change as the dev cycles progress. I think (hope?) there is room for discussion aside from a Crowfall vs. CU debate as both games look promising.

I' also somewhere inbetween, and luckily we won't really have to make the choice - we can support and play both games.
Its unlikely I'll end up playing either as both look like niche games and neither has an IP that I'm attracted to.
Having said that, both games are pvp focused without being too hardcore and both are taking different approaches to making pvp interesting long term and so I am following both.
Currently, I am leaning towards CU. There are a few main reasons for this:
Mark Jacobs - Seemed to do a good job with DAoC and had some interesting ideas for WAR. Although WAR had some seriously bad design decisions, I get the impression that Mark has learnt his lessons and is designing CU in a well thought out way.
Destructible content / building content - This is a biggie for me. Whilst other developers are trying to improve the MMO genre by refining combat / crafting / classes (and generally failing), I like the fact that CU seems to be sticking with what already works and are trying to develop these features instead. I think this, if done right, will have a long reaching, profound effect on the MMO genre.
3 Realms - If a game has open world pvp, it needs a self-balancing mechanism of some sort to deal with the inevitable imbalance of numbers. Most games seem to forget this, resulting in endless zergs. 3 realms is a reasonably good way to do this.
Lots of races and classes - I'm a fan of diversity, even if it leads to imbalance. Too many games have ended up with dull, homogenised classes and whilst this may still happen with CU, at the moment it looks like it wont.
More well rounded - whilst I love pvp, I do enjoy lots of other activities too, so do my guildmates. If it was 100% pvp, my guild wouldn't come.
The only thing I don't really like about CU at this point in time is the medieval europe / generic low fantasy. I'd prefer something a bit more exciting / high fantasy.
With Crowfall, it's main redeeming feature is the changing campaigns. This seems like a great way to keep the pvp fresher and more exciting for longer. However, the whole design of the game makes it sound like a glorified lobby-based pvp game, except matches take 2-3 months instead of 15-20minutes. Still sounds like fun, but I expect more from my MMOs. I've probably missed discussions / announcements of other features so maybe my current impressions are just wrong, I'll do more research once the games approaches launch.

I backed CU. Am an old DAOC and WAR player and I like what Mr. Jacobs does.
Hyped. No, I can't get hyped for MMO games any more. There is too much transparency too soon. You can't expect me to stay hyped for 5,7 or 10 years. I liked it when I heard about an MMO when it was in deep alpha or early beta stages. Watching the building process, while interesting, at some point becomes watching paint dry.

Perhaps it's just better marketing but I feel like I have much better sense of what Crowfall is going to look like when it's finished. CU feels much more nebulous; it could be amazing or it could be lackluster I just don't have a good sense for what it's going to look like when it's done.
Camelot since it isnt a "crossair point and shoot target game" Crowfall are made for ppl who doesnt go to the gym, or excercise their biceps and underarms, as this game (Crowfall) Will give you Golf'ers elbow and arthritis in general
Didn't Mark Jacobs create WAR? Yeahhhhh, no thanks, I've had enough ScenarioHammer. I'll go with the team that has a totally fresh concept from beginning to end.
Not a big PvP guy, but Crowfall seems to be addressing a lot of the problems I see in most PvP games. More interested in how they do. Didn't play DAoC, and thought WAR was awful.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
Yeah, there are some games that I get really excited about before they are released, in the past for example I was really looking forward to playing Dragon Age, Witcher 3, and GW2 and got them on preorder or on launch day.
Crowfall and Camelot Unchained are two upcoming mmos I am really keen to play because they are building their games solely around the element I like most about mmos- group pvp- and I expect that focus to deliver a great and refreshing gameplay experience.
