It offers 0 challenge, that's the whole problem. For a solo-centric PvE game I would suggest ESO instead. Even if you never run a dungeon or do an endgame dungeon at the end you've played through an elder scrolls game
These games play massively different imho. ESO is better solo centric stuff, in terms of story and all that, but in the most parts it plays like most games, as you can gain an idea of whats going on quite quickly. BDO, you can play it like other MMOs to, but you will miss out a a lot of other things to do, which i quickly realised after about 2 hours in, resulting in me watching a crapload of guide videos, which I haven't done in years
I don't particularly like a cash shop that sells items with benefits, while at the same time - I honestly couldn't give a rats ass about those specific bonuses. Totally not worth ignoring an entire game, with a lot of potential mind you, over such minor benefits.
It doesn't impact my game-experience in the slightest, I'm not going to pretend that it does just to make a thing about it either.
The mobs are incredibly easy-- even the boss summons that recommend "co-op" are trivially easy for solo as long as you keep dodging and then pound on the boss when he gets tired and sits down (lol) to rest.
Go out at 22:00 when the mobs go super aggressive (seems everything does) and the attacks hit really hard. Try night hunting if you want bad ass mobs and big experience.
Thanks didn't know that.
Also... macroed a couple of abilities (like S+E or S+F) and I'm enjoying the combat a bit more... it's sort of growing on me lol.
It's growing on me too. It is starting to make me want to play. Still going to wait a bit and see what happens but if they do it right I'm in.
