Just thought that I would mention, one of these reviewers that loudly proclaimed his animosity for BDO and rage quit: well, he is back. Welcome back pvt. Wiggles. MMO's are not good streaming games for entertainment, unless the person is just that entertaining. It is easier to make a flashy exit, when the shine of newness wears off, only to return later, quietly and unnoticed, or so they think.
He should make a new 20 minute video called "Why I returned to BDO after a few days!" and then people can link it everywhere.
7, yes Seven. It seems all reviews when it comes to an mmo are 7. MMO's change all the time so there really shouldn't be a number, it should be an Overview (watch... the next big thing in reviews, Overview!) of what the mmo's theme is about, pro's and cons alike. I'm sure some people writing their Overview, sry Review don't even like mmo's or certain mmo's, so we need Overview's as not everyone likes the same thing.
I pre-ordered BDO as i was on a real Korean roll, Tera, BnS, and being a fan of SWG, EQ2 I thought wow BDO is going to be the ticket to MMO nirvana for me. When it launched i was way to in love with Blade and Soul still and i could not get any traction going in BDO.
A couple months go by and I'm still very much into BnS and TSW. I was so convinced BDO wasn't for me I actually uninstalled it, and as we all know MMO's have been pretty much over since 2006 when the industry and legendary games like EQ2 even started their wowification. Sure though the years i played them all and they all got their 2 to 3 months out of me, lol.
Then out of nowhere after i watched a MJGuthri twitch i installed it, not that i was interested in playing again but maybe more interested in seeing if there was any value left in the $50 i dropped on this thing. Thought's like the initial wave is probably past as for me a game like this riding a wave sucks, where riding a wave in Rift is mandatory and BnS to some degree as well, where you need the numbers to get the max from the content.
Now, i can say i already got my $50 out of it, and i'm just getting started. I'm seriously enjoying it and to echo holdenhamlet, I too am going to refrain myself from making gushing posts about the game as well.
