    The Band of Inherent Hatred in Age of Conan.

    When AoC started doing world bosses, they put some extremely rare items on the loot table.  One person who collects data from her and her guild on what is inside every box they open, has estimated the drop rate to be something on the order of .01% for this particular item.

    It's the best ring that a Guardian can possibly have as it has Constitution, Critical Rating, Hate Increase and Magical Protection... and not just a little, but large amounts of each stat, making it better than some pieces of raid gear alone.

    I don't even know, I know I have aquired rare items because my friends let me know after I get them, they are like "wtf, you are the luckiest person I have ever seen, I have tried for years and you just hop in here and get it..." this has happened multiple times, it's funny because to them the items are amazingly valuable, but to me it's just more ones and zeroes.

    This mount was pretty rare in Vanguard when i got it , only saw 1 other ...

      and after 18 years in UO i have some ultra rares i dont have time to list them here... many that havent been in game for over 12 years

    A Krypton Transform Artifact in DCUO.  When I got mine there were about 3 in the game,  But it was too damn cool, and it went from ultra legendary to epic, and lots of people got them.  I didn't mind though, it was too cool of an item to limit to just a few characters.

    You got a body that looked like Eternity and you were in essence Superman for 45 seconds.


    The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!

    A Daredevil bpc in EVE Online. In 12 years, I looted 2. The rarity was in the drop though. People farm LP and throw them at Jita left and right.

    EQ1.  The bard item from one of the Plane of Time flagging runs.  Rare drop from the event and everyone hated that raid.  I had been saving my DKP for 6 months.  Now I don't even remember its name, lol.

    So the world bosses in AoC drop these ultra rare, legendary dragon pets that are huge.  Me and five buddies killed that boss for a week straight, hours per day trying to get that dragon.  Some guy who barely plays shows up and he's like "Hey guys, watcha doing?" so we invite him to kill the WB with us.  He shows up and the motherfucker gets it on the first try.  Then he's like "Well that was fun guys, see ya later!".  We didn't see him again for a month.

    WoW Staff of Jordan. I think it was twink item so I was able to sell it for a lot of gold back in the day when gold was hard to come by. I also got a flying mount that was pretty rare back in WOTLK. It was some kind of rep + rng thing having to do with eggs.

    Some purple low level dagger or something that twinks used in WoW vanilla. I got way more gold for it than a lvl 19 item should ever be worth lol.

    Yeah, when I announced it in local I was bombarded with buy orders. (but I used it myself)

    It seems that I'm almost universally unlucky when it comes to rare items in MMORPGs; any time I think I get lucky with a drop and tell other people, they say something along the lines of 'so?' or 'and?'. It's very unfortunate.
