Old Games New Graphics

How come some of the old mmo's that have  a lot of content, a good fan base, but old graphics just update there graphics?

I think you meant why dont they just update their graphics. It's a good point, I am of the mind that everything has been done just like the Barenaked Ladies say in the song of the same name. I really wish that they would just redo the graphics for Everquest pre-luclin make them next gen and it would be a perfect game, and PvP servers of course with their own dev team to do it right.

I have no idea why they don't do it, probably to create jobs

you know, thats what i was thinking they keep coming up with these games that are pretty much clones of old games that the only problem with them is that they were showing there age. If you think about it, what if they updated the graphics of Ultima Online to 3d/nex gen graphics, how many people would actually continue to wait for the next clone to come out? Im staying with Dark age of camelot right now because that is what they are doing, they are ( or saying they are) updating the graphics of the game to continue to compete in the years to come. Creating a game that has huge amounts of content, good game play, and relatively few bugs.

daoc is a awsome game and with every new expansion they update the graphics. now if they did that with uo i would n^t would go back a hot second. i LOATH ea but updated graphics on uo would rock cause the game already owns. arg dang people that say pwns DIE DIE already sorry lol. im not currently playing any mmo's just tired of them need a year or so break or untill DDO comes out lol. later all
