what is Underworld MMO ?

I stumbled over the website of Neopangaia, they seem to develop a MMO with several interesting concepts (in addition it is planned to be an adult MMO but currently I'll ignore that)
Anybody here who knows more about that project? Is it serious or is it a joke?

I looked it over and i don't think it is a joke neither does my mate think its a joke...
They also say that there will be a beta of the game around may 2006... so who knows...
Anyway the site looks weird, doesnt look like an mmo at all, i think ill put this one on ice till the beta

Ironically, I used that article from Wikipeida. The spelling error was in the original article (And I missed it.. doh!)
My mom is horribly terrified and ashamed abotu what i work on in her basement. I just wanted to make a game that was liek my two favorite thinsg to read "Heavy Metal" and "Classical Mythology". I only found out AFTERWARD that they both hvae what in print is a small amoutn.. but in a virtual world is a LOT, of adult content

several hundred thousand dollars and years later.. work is progressing. i am finally nearing production
the project has been split into a smaller game and the larger game second.
the second game will be an actual virtual universe
the first game's scope has yet to be determined, but we are highly considering a Zelda style virtual planet earth
would single player for the first game be acceptable? if so, the mmo would be going into production within a few months of release of the first.. and that would be within less than a year
it could serve as some sort of introduction to the mmo
and characters would be able to be transferred to the second project
i apologize this is taking so long, but i am one man and engine choices and constantly updating my capabilities across the board to the latest technology
by itself is very expensive and time consuming
i am trying to reach out to responsible members of the community to help me make set HARD design choices, which will speed up development infinitely.
i was a gamer just like you
and now i am a fulltime developer... help me make this game FOR you
i don't have to compromise in any part of development [except for occasional technical choices]
its been almost ten years since we last spoke [me and the gamer community] i would like to OPEN DEVELOPMENT to your input again as production phase begins

i found that development is easier when nobody pays attention, so in the years since 2005 ive been making crappier websites with more typos [now that were finally in real production, that will change] i hope my better focus will lead to more ideas and necessary criticism

I wish you the best of luck, but in 2003, Underworld (the movie) was released. That is why I popped in here. Vampires vs Lycans is cool. Tentacle Hentai, not so much...

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR
