The review by mmorpg of the game is unfair and biased. Every other site gave it a much higher review and the game pretty much has exceeded all expectations and is an amazing piece of entertainment.
I didn't make it through the intro quests. I was bored to tears.
Unfortunate, it does get better, just like most Netflix series don't hit their stride until the 4 th episode or so.
I never saw that often though I did see that sort of series, but these days I doubt I will see that again. I give a series one episode, if I am not engaged after that I bail, if I watch 2 and 3 and think they are padding the series I am gone. I have got to the end of too many series which were decent but not great and thought "Well they could have done that with half the episodes."

Doesn't almost all MMOs or ARPGs have a somewhat similar beginning, and most of them are even slower (more boring?) than Lost Ark?
MMOs maybe, but not really for ARPGs, at least for me. Diablo III, Victor Vran, WH40K: Inquisitor, Wolcen, Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, Van Helsing, and Titan Quest all feel pretty different from each other. Early levels in most every RPG (action or otherwise) do share some characteristics, like weak characters but they don't all feel the same to me.
Maybe that poster doesn't like Lost Ark or ARPGs, or Lost Ark leveling and story is just bland. For ARPG fans most of the major titles all feel different and have interesting stories and build mechanics that give them their own distinct feeling.
Oh Val Helsing, thank you. Just yesterday I was going crazy because I knew there was another AARPG game that I really wanted to play but couldn't recall the name and my mind was stuck on Victor Vran. There is a trilogy pack available on PS. Since I'm busy with Lost Ark now I might wait for a discount. How did you like it?

I don't usually wait in queues . I wanted to play so I surfed, waited and ate. I am not going to log off afraid what the queue will be if I do. I wanted to check on crafting I usually log off but now I alt tab and check.

I just find it cute. I'm Asian we love this stuff. Sparking ponies and stuff.I can totally understand why Western players find it jarring.
I did my best to try and kill the first player I saw riding this mount, evoking a surprise emote from them. Where is FFA PVP when you really need it?
I loath and hate this stuff in video games ..... "Jarring" just doesn't go far enough.
I find it pretty immersion breaking to see someone riding a fluffy thingie or flaoting skateboard etc etc.
That said it means that right now there is like zero mounts I am interested in available in the cash shop, I will just use my free white horse and white bunny pet.
BTW just now at around 11am my boy got done making his beserker and log in no queue, server was showing as "busy".

My queue was 21 369. Almost 4 hours later it's at 3124. EU Neria server.

The French are fighting the rest of the world on my server, as expected.
Someone said something in French on the global chat. People attacked him for not speaking English. He said we are being racist against the French. I said French isn't a race, it is a condition and it can be cured. That has riled them up pretty good since the early-access launch.

Perhaps they could restrict such cosmetics to certain servers, with a name like "silly-stupid" vs "normal" or "more serious" servers.
