Yes I want a new swg 2.0!  Till then I am playing swg with my discord friends. We have World Bosses to kill too.  This is yesterday after killing the Tusken King world boss on yavin4.  The group was bigger but some left right after killing the boss as it was getting late for some of us.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

No need to kill the game when there isn't even another in development. It should stay up until a new one actually relesaes.

Why should they shut down a game that makes them money? Every time a new Star Wars series comes out they get new players. This is not NCSoft that shut down City of Heroes even when it was making them money. There are people playing and enjoying the game so it makes sense to keep it up.

SWTOR was a great MMORPG, but no idea how its is doing now, I would love to see a 2.0  SWG, but we are not exactly spoiled for choice here. I hope SWTOR does well rather than pin my hopes on something that may never materialise.

Making money isn't the goal of business. Maximizing profit is. NCSoft shut down City of Heroes because they felt the resources could be put to better use elsewhere.

It seems well enough with them putting time into making a native Mac client for it.
