    No, it is hard to believe greedy publishers didn't push for this.

    This is just more micro-transactions. Rather than playing the game and earning currency for items they just expect you to pay with real money instead.

    There's a reason most other developers haven't done this because most players don't want it.

    The Blockchain is awesome for validating ownership, but in this use-case it's shitty at best.
