Making money on this scale is why they are being sued, regardless of justified that suit is.
I am sure Palworld will do well on PS5.
Nintendo sues even when the folks they sue are making little to no money.
They took down an emulator earlier this year, got like $2.5 million but the project shut down totally (some kind of Patreon setup and releasing the latest switch games on emulator).
They sued a programmer / hacker (last name Bowser, not a joke who was pulling in a few hundred a month) and won for $14 million so after his prison sentence 30% of any pay he gets after rent / food is paid to Nintendo for basically life. My guess is it will be tough for an ex-con to get high level programming work even here in Canada.
But for money on this Palworld scale they will probably look for licensing fees rather than a shut down.
Just checked Palworld is already there for sale for $38.99 Canadian.
