Another 'should I come back' topic (I need advice, really!)

in Star Wars Galaxies
Yesterday I found the SWG box which i've bought a year ago and in a few seconds there were hundreds of things flashing through my mind. BANG, also the CU which made me leave, anyways here's my problem:

I've played the trial a long time ago, far before the CU. I loved it but I could simply not buy it because I didn't had the money.
After a few months I tried again, did the trial and bought the game. I don't know why but I had the biggest fun ever which I didn't have in any other MMO.
Then the CU, I didn't like the nerves etc. (you probably heard this enough so I won't go further on this.)

My question is do you think I would have fun when I come back? Even when I choose these professions: Pistoleer-Creature Handler or Musician-Chef?

    I acctually played yesterday for the first time in over a year. And thing have changed. Now you have to group for Xp, but its stupid easy to grind now. It broght back old memories from when I use to play "ALOT
    " SWG will always that "thing" that I liked and always come back to play for a time.

    I sugeest just try it out and see if you like it.

    Pistoleer CH would give you CL80 and you could survive combat. I found CH a whole lot of buggy though.

    Chef / Musician would get you one-shotted leaving Theed.

    Oh yea I hate these CL. I'm a bit TO'ed (Kip) why did they have to make it liek every other damn MMO. It was soo much better before the Combat "Downgrade"

    If you don't mind seeing berjillions of Jedi running around then yes, you should probably give it another try. The game itself is fun. I'm just sick of Jedi. If I wanted to play KOTOR I'd launch it, not SWG.

    Just came back and I love it. The CL system isn't as bad as people made it out to be, I'm having a lot of fun.


    I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

    I feel the same way.  I'm a Star Wars purist (insert geek here) & the abundance of jedi totally steamed me off.  They shouldn't have called it An Empire Divided, it should have been called Invasion of the Jedi's.  image  Anyhoo, I played until about 2 months after the space expansion & my entire player association migrated to WoW but I still miss SWG as WoW is nothing but greedy people being, well, greedy.  I may have to give it another try as I was a master doc master swordsman & had lotsa fun doing it.  Only thing that would suck is I won't have the backing of a very active guild.  For those of you who played on Lowca we had the town north of Mos Eisley called Estee Enwy.
