What is the feature in FFXI that made you fall in love with it? Or hate it?

I'm on the fence here and cant seem to pull the trigger.  I have very little extra cash that I can use for gaming so its very important for me to make the best purchace possiable.  I'm leaning towards yes but I just cant seem to take that final step and make the buy. 

So I'm asking, what is the feature that made you fall in love with FFXI and make you keep playing?  Or what is just so irritating that you cant deal with it any longer?

I have the game, but cant play until i get the new video card this week (hopefully).

There wasnt really 1 feature that made me buy it, it was more of the (just came out in america) thing that made me decide. All of the features, graphics, and gameplay looked like they were good, and Ive played games before, but never from the beginning. I thought it would be cool to start from the beginning and be a pioneer of some sort, so later on when people meet me, they can be like "omg, hes a vet, dont look him in the eye!"

but ya, im looking forward to actually getting in-game, if i cant get a new video card wihtout getting a new motherboard then ive just wasted 54.00 because it would be a while ebfore i can build a new computer.

well what makes cross the line of buying it will prolly be the fantasy .

i always liked rpg for the power you get that makes your enemys say omg why did i have too mess with him, and make your friends say my hero .

i hear there are gonna be huge wars between the continents it would be pretty cool too fight in the name of your country.

other than that the graphics seem perfect if you look at other mmorpgs i heard a couple of midis and like you exspect of final fantasy pretty nice music.

this game in gonna rock in my eyes i hope they add some good features over the years i say buy we could use pll too kick some japanese ass
