Face of Mankind milestone patch, open beta

Today and tomorrow, Face of Mankind is getting a much needed overhaul to its graphics, animations and gameplay. This is something that has been in the works for quite some time.

The game has vastly improved since the open beta started so anyone that tried it back then and was dissapointed, i suggest you give it another go when the patch is up. Im sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

For those that do not know, Face of Mankind is a MMORPG with FPS combat set in a dark and distant future where coorporations and goverments alike rule the universe with an iron fist. Its fairly similliar to eve when it comes to politics and colony control for resources. The game isnt a mmo in the traditional sense with levels and xp, but its system encourages roleplaying more then any other game ive tried to date.

If your one passion in MMO's is grinding mobs over and over for xp i suggest you turn around and walk away. If not, give it a go why dont you, its in open beta and thus free of charge.

I was excited about FoM once, waited a week for the servers to come back up and... woah! Dissapointment. It's still got some very good concepts and my main gripe was with the way the game moved and looked, I'll have to check out this new patch.

well..last I tried it , It certainly stank to high heaven, but I really want a SciFi MMO, so I give it another try but I wont have high hopes this time

Just remember that the patch wont be fully deployed until wednesday or thursday. In the meantime you could always read up on the changes they have planned in the forums.

I´ve tried it some time ago. The game looked great but when I finished the training part i couldn´t find nothing in the places I were exploring. I´ve got bored and quit it. I will give it a try.
