Say what you will (Although I do admit the starting quest is pretty bad when it comes to the translation), but SilkRoad is the best free online MMO i've played, its pretty fun. Its definitely an interesting game, but take my advice on this: Don't pay the 5000 to port to another city, if you can't trek there by foot, its just gonna ned up costing you cash...

I agree that Silkroad is the best free, grind based, MMO and has helped me tame my desire to resub to L2 for a bit. But I've been wondering: why is it free? How do they pay for it? It doesn't seem to be a beta. Though I think I saw a button for an 'item mall' in the interface, it didn't work.

So why is it free?

Oh ya. And the horrid translation is half of why I like it.
