On average how many hours a day do you spend gaming?

On average, I would say about 4-5 hours a day, though it does vary widely depending on various life factors. Most days, if I have nothing better to do, I'll only last about four or five hours before I start getting that "ble" feeling and need to go do something else. Then again, there's been days that I've sat 12+ straight hours infront of the computer. I find that the amount of time I'll spend with a game in one sitting depends alot on the company. When I first started playing World of Warcraft, I was part of a group of four or five ingame friends who really got along famously and loved doing all the ingame stuff together. We easily logged 30+ hours played on weekends for the simple reason that we kept each other going and always regreted parting ways. Which I suppose is a good explanation of why I play MMORPGs in the first place. The company you keep and the friends you meet make the game. Extensive soloing, at least in my experience, leads to burnout. Its a good rule of thumb to keep in mind for all the people out there who play those horrible Korean grinders out there (I myself have logged several hundred hours on Silkroad Online). I used to play about 8+ hours a day. Then I decided to be a good father and to also get my degree. So now I play around 2-3 hours a day, only after I have exercised, done all my school work and studied, fathered my child enough and spent time with my wife.

I'm playing WoW right now as well, so I don't really want to play more than that anyways.

With the crap on the market atm, I spend from 0 to 2 hours gaming, more frequently 0 :P

When SWG was out... I'd say 18 hours every day.

I have to admit 18 hours a day is bloody impressive... my record is only 13

everyone rails on swg... but damn it was the coolest F#@ing thing ever when it came out!   all day long!

As others have mentioned, it varies greatly depending on in-game and RL-situations. Right now I'm averaging maybe 1h a day (2h every other day rather). During my addiction periods (WoW and UO mainly), 12h/day on weekends, ~6h on a workday.

^^ Some of it is spent 'resting' but still playing hehe - like going to the cantina and just listening to the music.

I can play any amount of hours a day but it depends on what plans I have, I usually speand 1-2 hours a day on MMORPG's I mainly play Lineage 2 on a FS.
If my friends f**k off somewhere else I play MMORPG's all day.
If my friends are at the park or the quarry then I go outside all day and come in a ridiculous time in the morning.
If depends on what I do. I guess thats the same with everyone else here on the forums.
