Nobody's responded to this thread? I'd love to see what everybody says. :)As for myself, hmmm, lets see...
edit: after thinking about for a while, I must say that I don't feel I'm fully prepared to answer this question yet. I'll get back to you once I've dreamt up something satisfactory.

Race: I'd be something sorta like a sprite. You know, short, quick, twiggy, and long lived, with some sort of a connection to magic.
Class: I'd probably choose a support class. I'd have some basic healing abilities, and I wouldn't be too tough in a fight, but not useless. If it was a primary/secondary system, I'd go with something like Thief/Healer.
Profession: Definately a Tailor, though I'd likely also dabble in the crafting of baubles and such. You know, like jewelry, and stuff...
Weapon: Gotta say a short spear. I know most thieves wouldn't go with this, but, well... I would.
class-ritualistic magic(enchanting, some summons, vodo, some necromancy, focus creation, enviroment effecting. granted all of these takking quite some time to complete/make the spell(not for the heat of combat)) and elemental
profession-ritualistic magic would also expand in here
weapon. my imaginary focus, which would affect differnt aspects of magic/energy.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
You stand there, knowing somehting is wrong.. see nothing... just shadows...
Suddenly... A 200 FEET DRAGON HAS SNUCK UP BEHIND YOU BITING YOUR HEEAD CLEAN OFF, THEN SPITTING FLAMES DOWN YOUR WINDPIPE... And then.. he use that staff of God to resurecced the charred corpse so he can do it again.
You did say "anything"....

A .50 cal. (12.7 mm) M2 machine gun in front of the commander's hatch. On the M1, M1IP and M1A1, this gun is on a powered mount and can be fired using a 3× magnification sight, while the vehicle is buttoned up. On the M1A2, M1A2SEP, the M2 is on a flex mount and now can be mounted with a similar system to the CROWS.
A 7.62 mm (.30 caliber) M240C machine gun in front of the loader's hatch on a skate mount.
A 7.62 mm M240C machine gun in a coaxial mount. The coaxial MG is aimed and fired with the computer fire control system.
My favorite character was a Metaphysicist in Anarchy Online: 3 pets to control, dozens of nanos (spells), Melee/spell combo combat, implant crafting. A really good challenge to play well. So that's my pick...
I will always go for the most complex, most difficult to play, pet class/prof. in the game.
It just seems like MMOGs have been significantly dumbed down over the years and are not very challenging anymore.
I need to be strongly challenged or I'll soon be saying goodbye.
Class: Ambush Assassin. Duh. What else would a trapdoor spider be?!
Profession: Birthday Clown (it doubles as a secret identity, and I can tuck my extra legs into my giant pants to go around incognito while casing my next victim.)
Weapon: Venom and The Element of Surprise
Now I am just going to sit here and hold my breath for the MMO that has exactly what I am looking for.

Proffession: Engineer (comes in handy for constructing new torture devices)
Weapon: Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.
