Does this game have such a great idea but is using the same engine as the 500 other korean games out there that suck ass?
Point and Click?? + Resolutions that only work on outdated square monitors. I cant play this on any of my monitors my TV / Laptop / PC are all widescreen it looks shit on them.
This is the same engine as used in a whole load of new MMO's like Hero and many others.
Same options, Same resolutions etc.
This sucks this game had such a great idea.

the graphics look fine, its definitly one of the higher graphics avaible on the market.
When i talk about hundreds, then I actually mean hundreds of players. not the 70 ~125 of Daoc.
Well the WASD in AL just sucks, it realy isnt comfortable using it and it can hardly be called WASD controll at all ... in my opinion that is.
Graphics is OK nothing to jump for, its good to be an MMO, but personaly i have never ever been impressed by any MMO graphics, not the ones that trys to make it look "real", its just damn easy to look how "simple" it is, sure most of them got some nice effects like fancy lightning/water/whatever effects, but i have NEVER gotten impressed of the overall graphics of an MMO.

I have a system that runs 2 7900GT extreme cards so please dont talk to me about grafix...
This game is a lame L2 clone.... period.
It is as redundant as a fith wheel attached to the roof of your car.
It doesnt even rate a detailed description, its just not worth me putting more time into bagging it than the devs put into making it.... ooops too late I already did.
But dont take my word for it. You guys clearly know much more and are more experienced with this stuff than a noob like me.

I normally never use the word "noob". but, as you only played for 30 minutes, you are right. you are a noob to Archlord. a pretty misinformed noob, but still a noob

Well, I'm having fun with the game. Yes, the controls are cluncky and need to be worked on, and there are many other annoyances that hopefully will get worked out by release, but it's not a bad game. Graphically I do agree that it's not very engrossing. I don't feel like I'm a part of a lush, rich world yet. Maybe if I play a little more and see more of the world it will feel different. I'll reserve my judgment until I've played some more.
Right now the biggest thing is just that the controls are rather cumbersome. Hopefully that will be improved. Also, I'm really not a fan of the way the mini-map just tells me where everything is. I.E. go pick some berries, and there's a big question mark where the berries are. part of the fun in an MMO for me is having to read through the quests and follow directions in order to discover where the objectives are. "South of town there is a large tree in the middle of an apple grove. Find this tree and you will find your reward." Kewl! Ok, let's go! Wait. WTF? There's a big question mark telling me exactly where I'm going and what I'm looking for. Why the heck did I just read all that?
Oh well. I guess they wanted to make a game that's easy for all to play and not challenging. Than again, maybe this is just a beta device so players can speed their way through and check out more of the content. We will see.
I lost interest in playing this game when i found out that all classes were bound to a certain gender.
This game isnt a lineage clone, lineage is a game that is doing much better in the US then a lot of the korean games that have been released in the past 2 years. Lineage 2 isnt a second rate game, but it suffers from te same nonsense as most asian games. Limited customization, and zero diversity.
Archlord will be no different. IF you think lore is a good enough reason for classes to be locked by gender, and willing to play a game, even after admitting that the control suck, the world is boring, and rolling with the hope that it will improve someday, then your standard for a MMO is quite low.
I have no hope for archlord, with the old engine, and payment system, this game will die slowly like Matrix online.

No, nobody can judge the game after 30 minutes, for the simple FACT (notice the word FACT) that you can NOT reach even a reasonable amount of content after 30 minutes. thinking you can is pure ignorance.
Its also pretty obvious how ignorant you are. you completely fail to see the quality of the game, you just don't like the game, thats whats wrong with you. the game is actually pretty good, but its NOT for everyone.the game is currently the most played game in korea.
