Anyone having trouble with the game engine?

MidnightMidnight Member Posts: 6

I was lucky enough to be assigned a beta key for AL, but I almost burst out laughing once i started playing it. On my system (X2 4200MHz, with a 6800 GTX card) is almost unplayable. The camera will not rotate properly, and decides to give me an "upskirt cam" angle when ever it feels like it, meaning i lose orientation on my char almost all the time having to rely on the compass constantly.

Also the sound is stuttering and it looks like my char is tripping forwards rather than walking. I've played for no more than 15 minutes in the past week due to this. I'mwondering if anyone else has these problems and/or if they have fixes for them. If I'm not alone shame on codemasters for bringing out and unplayable beta. Or at least one that does not support higher levels of hardware.

You may want to post that question at the Beta Forum...there you can freely discuss it without breaking the NDA.

I think there is something wrong with your system or your connection, I have none of those problems.

I did actually read in this months PC Gamer magazine that, Codemasters would be charging a 3 tier subscription system. the higher tier you pay for the more free in game money you will recieve.

I know one thing I ain't gonna pay £25 a month for any MMORPG out there just to try and stay abreast with the hardcores.

I'm not having any trouble with what your saying.  It seems to run fine for me.

Maybe PC gamer should get its information source checked, because you can't get free ingame money.

You don't get ingame money. You apparently get potions that help you lvl. Not sure if you get more xp from their use or what.

As far as the game engine, I don't have any of these problems. So not sure what the issue would be.

Also, the NDA has been lifted so we can go nuts. So to speak.

I got accepted with for closed beta from fileplanet and I enjoyed the game for a while but what makes me annoying is that I can't run it with 100HZ and the "fixes" on the beta forums doesn't work for me
