I've never played a PS game before so I'm not 100% sure what to expect. I've watched the videos, done a lot of reading and am ready to get it as soon as it's on the shelves. It just seems like it could be a lot of fun.

go to http://www.psobb.com/index.php and try the trial (MAKE SURE YOU CANCEL AFTER YOU STARTED THE TRIAL!) and play it for a few days. Those are the old Phantasy Star Online's (1 and 2) combined. Mind you, its a pretty old game, so it might feel a bit outdated.

I'm playing ffxi since 3 years ago and never played PS.

Im downloading PSO from that link u posted 2 days ago.

I'm thinking on leave ffxi and start to play another mmorpg, do u think PSU will be a FUN and EXCITEMENT game?

FFXI is 99% grind.  I played it for a year and just couldn't go on.  This game is pretty much the opposite play style from FFXI, because you can get groups fast and don't have to do much planning.

It's like an action game kinda.  Lotta FFXI players wanna come over here because of the Japanese theme n whatnot, but it's so much different.

From what I remember, FFXI was insanely slow in about every aspect of the game. Compared to PSU, which seems to have a much faster pace. I'm especially looking forward to the combat, which will be refreshing from the current mmorpg's(WoW, EQII, and so on) that make you watch your character fight.

Yeah the fast paced action feel to it is what has me hyped too.   Combat in a lot of MMOs can see to take forever.   I think this will be such a nice change.   I do what the boss battles to feel somewhat epic, but when I am killing trash mobs I want my player character to actually feel powerful and quick to dispatch the peons.

Well.. i like FFXI combat style. I love to fight a mob during 2 hours
with 37 more players, but i think i will like too something with a low
rate of stress, an online game that dont need 3 hours to get a party, a
game with epics quest that made you feel good etc..
