I too was unimpressed with the trailer. Diablo himself looks like a Buddha / Panda with a different head screwed on. Splash on some molten lava and plot that makes a Lara Croft or Mortal Kombat story seem brilliant. If this trailer sealed the deal for you to get this game then you need your head examined. Nothing revolutionary in this game so far. Diablo 1 was the best experience period because it was fresh, new, and exciting back in the days. Let's see something new Blizzard. Hire the people back that was fired or quit and turn the genre upside down. You've lost your "attitude" in the genre.
I tried to hold the line, I really did. Stupid always on internet. Stupid shiny CE with a Diablo skull. They broke me. I pre-ordered the CE this morning on Amazon.

I LOVED Diablo 1. I thought Diablo II was well done as well, but not as good as the first. I am sure D3 will be great also, but this particular cinematic was very underwhelming to me.

A few people have said that D1 was done better than D2. Are you sure you are remembering correctly? D1 was cool, but D2 is far superior in gameplay / graphics / fun-factor / and replayability. Are you sure you are not remembering D1 with rose colored glasses? I guess it is just opinion though.
