It doesn't matter if Blizzard makes the perfect game. They are never going to replicate they're success with WoW, so I don't see why they would try to make WoW 2. It would divide the player base of people who like that kind of game. They would do much better trying to make a game to get the MMO players that are not playing WoW.
I agree with the title of this subject thread that it will more than likely be World of Warcraft 2. The second possibility is World of Starcraft. Either way, I am predicting a Sandbox style MMO rather than the traditional theme of today's MMOs.
I'm hoping it will be World of Starcraft (WoS) with a three faction world PvP system that includes Sandbox MMO features. That would be the most awesome of all.
My bet is that Blizzard is going to wait to see how SoE fares with Everquest Next Sandbox game and take some of their ideas to place into whatever Titan turns out to be.
Maybe I am aiming too high when I say that after seeing concept art of Project Titan, with huge ships in the skyline, they will try something like EVE Online, another sandbox, but with a less sloped learning curve (and probably, depth) But anyway, something new, which doesn't sound outrageous from the start, it is a good thing for us. Probably they want to fill the gap with their new game, and expansions for the others (and definitively, they don't care very much for WoW anymore, at least in terms of satisfying their first customers)
PS By outrageous I mean that shitty story about the ancient earth with time travel, swords and shotguns. I am glad they scrapped all that bullshit
Originally posted by theEvilLordXenu wow 2 never ended up happening . it was suppose to be after the expansion cataclysm which blizzard had said was the last expansion for wow . but the player base drop probably made blizzard scrap the idea like starcraft ghost . in short its never going to happen . because they pay the bills at blizzard with diablo and starcraft money . there just keeping wow around because if they shut it down without replacing it they look bad so it ends up the low end pc game that they have that no one cares about
What, wow still makes more money than all ur current mmos put together, Diablo and Starcraft are blizzards pocket money games in comparison. Yeh Wow is not quite the Titan it was around the burning crusades, wotlk days but like it or not it is still by far the biggest mmo going. I totally hate the direction it's gone the last 2 expansions, but you have to respect a game that has achieved what wow has. Private servers are probably doing aswell as most mmos lol.
And so World of Halo (aka Titan) has been put on hold.
Pardon any spelling errors
Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven Boy: Why can't I talk to Him? Mom: We don't talk to Priests. As if it could exist, without being payed for. F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing. Even telemarketers wouldn't think that. It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
