Almost smooth, if it wasn't for the fact that you can't zoom in on the character creation the 1st few hours, it's not really big of an issue, but just a really missed opportunity for the smoothest launch of any MMO recently
thank god i was using a 27inch Monitor, so i was still able to stick my face close to the monitor to see the little details
lol
yeah that was a bit annoying, but i also have a 27inch Monitor, so it was okay
I was just comparing this launch to GW2's and I remember every thread on the recent page was from GW2. It baffled me because if you were enjoying the game why were you posting on the boards instead of busy playing. I see now in this launch people are busy playing instead of posting. A good sign that the game is keeping enough interest to prevent people from flooding the boards. Good job Zen.
No real problems yet. Played about 5 hours before taking a break for lunch. I did have an issue on character creation. I couldn't zoom in to my face. Also had a couple horse dismounts and 2 pauses in game. All quests are fine so far. I am very happy not to have to /reloadui at all. Great time so far.

So far the game is running perfectly for me. I have had no disconnects and no lag at all. The ONLY bug I had was the lack of a zoom during the character creation and a couple of those sliders. Folks, if you go to the customer support forum, they are aware of this bug:
Hi everyone!
We understand that some of you are having issues zooming into your character's face during character creation. The team is aware, and are working on a fix. As a temporary workaround, you can create a throwaway character, then create a second character where you should be able to zoom into his/her face.
Just remember not to redeem any of your Imperial Edition or Explorer's Pack items with your throwaway character!

Holy crap you played for 10 hours straight? What lvl did you make it to in that amount of time?

Not high really. One character level 8 and the other level 7 + some crafting. For TESO i prefer to enjoy they ride instead of rushing it. But if you want to know quite a few players passed level 10 a few hours ago (first level 10 in a guild was like 2 or 3 hours ago).

That's it? I thought someone would be a lot higher by now. I guess it slows down at 8ish. I got to lvl 6 in 2 hours but had to log for work and I wasn't rushing I just heard all this content in the beta since I rolled DC just like in the beta. I'll most likely slow way down when I get to the lvl 15 stuff that I don't know about.

I'm surprised it took that long. I got off almost 3 hours ago at level 9 and I took my time through all the starter zones and whatnot. I somehow managed to get an entire level higher than my friend even though we've been questing together from the start.
Originally posted by Voiidiin Well only game that has run as smooth on launch, and that was Guild Wars 2, no other game has been this slick on release (early access or not). Will have to see how the RvR is once i get a toon to 10.... DAMN YOU ALTITIS !!
Rift ... forgetting about that one my friend.
I think you're forgetting about the fact that Rift, at launch, at the biggest security breach of all time. People could bypass the login authentication server and just load the game into someone's account. The hacker would then strip your character, sell everything, and delete you.

Well as I said I am not really rushing through it and I simply don't care about how long it takes. I guess I could easily hit level 15 on my templar and 10 atleast on sorc but then somehow I have to admit that voiceovers here are done really well so no rush at all:-) And fishing is also fun.
Originally posted by UWNVME So what's the deal with this whole all NPCs, players, and monsters vanishing glitch? I relog and then a few seconds later it happens again. I'm hearing stories about people getting stuck in the Coldharbour tutorial because the Prophet isn't even spawning. Any news on a hotfix of some sort? I'm very tolerant on MMO launch issues but this is game-breaking.
Thought I'd give an update to this situation. It seems like you need to close the client completely before logging back in to fix the issue. I'm not having the problem anymore and haven't found any other issues with the game thus far. Seems to be running smooth and lag-free.
Been playing about 10 hours and haven't had anything major happen except the client crashed once. It is running smoothe and is so much better than the beta because now I can work on my character and keep him! This is one of the best launches of any game I have seen yet.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

Same for me. 13 hours. 1 crash to desktop (I assume it was the client) and maybe 2 times after a combat I seemed 'stuck'. HItting escape unstuck me w/o issues. No issues with quests through level 8(ish) [Stonefall in the Pact faction].
A few 'idiots' in chat but quickly ignored.
All in all my only disappointment is that I have to log out soon, lol.
FF AAR had a very smooth launch. ESO has been pretty smooth. The only two glitches I've experienced were the not able to zoom in on character creation and the game hung in a res loop when I died. But nothing major IMO.
It runs smoothly. Getting 55-60 FPS with everything maxed out. Having a blast and cant ask for more
