At least there's something to get excited about. GW2 is breaking some molds and setting itself apart from the MMO clones.
I'll admit to being a fan boy. To the point I'm just going to play GW until GW2 launches and stop downloading all the junk…

Excuse the reply that was here originally. It was unfair and added nothing to the convo
That being said, I believe that the hybrid model will help the game. It isn't a true f2p (if it uses the same model as DDO). DDo has a severe limitation…

Don't have a LotrO account, but will have one after it goes hybrid. Did so with DDO and actually paid them some money for expansions on my account and son's account.

I won't play a game that I have to pay up front for. Yeah, I'm gonna play $30 - $70 for a game then find out it's complete crap and can't get my money back?

This game wins the title of "Quickest Uninstall" for me.

It starts with some off-brand cheat detection (how do I know it isn't a dataminer in disguise?).

To me, it's…
Sorry about the non-reply above. Just wanted to weigh in and say that "video" is the operative word in "video game". If the video looks silly, who cares how the game plays? I'd just as well to play PnP and use my own imagination as to the visuals…

I don't mind anime style characters, as long as they're not too ridiculous. What turns me off the eastern style are the monsters. I want monsters to look like monsters, not some adorable little fat piggy with pink celery sprouting out of it's head…
