How is it that no one has mentioned Trials of Ascension in regards to this article? Permadeath, specialized skills, everything is player driven, real consequences. Seriously, this is a MMO site, how does the writer of this article not know of or men…
New classes, and new weapons. Maybe 10 skills for each weapon so you can customize your play style a little more. Take some cues from ESO and make classes less restrictive, at least.

I just can't get into it if I feel like my actions hardly matter. I haven't played it yet, so I'll reserve final judgement for when I do. B…
This mentality amazes me. Why use the name "Warcraft" in World of Warcraft, it's nothing like the RTSs it's based off of. Why use Mario in Super Mario 64, it's not a 2d platformer, it was drastically different than Super Mario Bros. I can go on and …
Honestly, the biggest problem with MMORPGs now days is the player base. Back in the days of EQ1, UO, DAoC, etc. MMO players were great, played together, were willing to work hard, and be punished for dieing. Ever since WoW, MMO players have devolved…
Combat music is something I definitely want to see done right in CU. DAoC is the only game where I can remember the combat music because of it's epicness. Yours definitely catch that feel, which I like. For me personally, I don't like the chorus voc…
I like the idea but some restrictions would have to be lifted. Example: Spending bounty points. How could they participate in the battlegrounds without being able to buy BP gear?
Play an older game, like DAoC. Level up strictly in the battlegrounds to get a feel for the PvP. Try to reach the realm rank cap in each one that you can. Start with playing a healer class to get used to reacting to keeping people up. It's still a v…
People read "open world PvP" and think that's the depth of the game, like all people are going to do is run around and try to kill each other. If that were the case, where would the gankers get their weapons? Their armor? Their food? Sure there migh…
1. Fast-paced combat with positional styles and reactionary styles. Would be nice to actively try to block/parry attacks, and when you do, you can riposte. The block would have to be like a skill you use right before you take damage, so people don'…
It seems that a lot of people are worried the change in playstyle will break their immersion to the game which TES is famous for.
Yet when you go to the Skyrim Nexus, you're always presented with the next big boobie mod and skimpy armor mo…
Their racial divides into factions was a big mistake IMO. Dunmer and Nords? Bosmer and Altimer? WTF? Those guys hate eachother.
They should have had 3 factions with different ideals that any race can join. That way you can join a side with a p…

I don't object to a DAoC 2, I just object to the wasted opportunity for a Skyrim style sandbox mmo. The mmo world needed that more than DAaC 2, which we will get elements of in GW2, TSW and PS2 anyway.

You'd have a point if TOA actually killed DAOC (it didn't, subscribers increased) and you actually didn't have to PVE before TOA to PvP (you did, be it for gold, craft…
I agree with what your point is. Though I did really like Skyrim's combat
The biggest thing they can do to this game is make the world lose it's 'epic'ness. I thought SWTOR would be epic in scale, exploring multiple MASSIVE planets. Instead i…

It still 'sounds' themeparkish with the levels, skill-trees, and random events they themselves mentioned, which in my book is not a good thing.

It's funny how people are so simple minded that they've branded this game to fail when they have almost no information on it.
Here's what we know.

Like I said, Ive played a lot of MMOs. Ive had plenty of time to see the promises that GW2 made in action. The main draws of the game are in, working, tested and proven. Its not a gimmick. Im usually first in line to complain when a MMO do…
