If you like PvP, wormholes are F ing awesome. The randomness of them combined with no local and the fact that they colapse preventing huge blobs makes them a blast. Wormholes are an exciting and fresh boost to small gang to medium gang, sub capita…
Somehow I imagine that job to be torture. Given that the majority of mmos are pure crap, I can't imagine being forced to play a pre-beta version 40 hours a week as a job .

Its not suprising that after 5 years I log on and see only 25k other players online. The numbers are so low for a good reason.
So how many people are on the server when you log onto your other mmo?
Along with what everybody else has said, EVE allows the trading of characters for ingame currency.

There's more people in highsec than anywhere else in EVE. However, I'd say upwards of 50% of people in highsec are alts and a large portion of the rest are trial accounts and players under a year old.

I've played PotBS and the PvP is crap. The game doesn't make any sense. If you want to PvP you need to NPC first to open up a PvP zone and to get into the contention battle.
Then if you actually capture a port you realize that there's no poi…

Once you get a feel for the basic game mechanics try to get into some PvP. EVE is a PvP game, the sooner you get into PvP the more fun you will have.

The devs for EVE have said that they would like to do this, but I don't know if it is actually currently being worked on. You would be able to change skills, place/modify buy and sell orders, build items, and anything else that you can do without u…
EVE vids on youtube are pretty worthless TBH. The quality is so crappy you can't even tell what's going on.
Just look for vids on the video section of the EVE-O forums.
Hmm lets see... Entirely consentual 12 vs 12 PvP with no death penalty, looting, or loss of any form. Sounds like an utterly worthless PvP system to me.
