So this is basically a massively multiplayer version of Freedom Force, as far as I can see. Which, I'll be honest, isn't a bad thing - I loved Freedom Force!
The scalping and hording problem could have been easily avoided by making these pet eggs non-tradeable and non-transferrable. No reason to get extras, no way to profit from them. Case closed.
Nice to know that those of us on the west coast have absolutely no chance whatsoever to get one of those keys... Might want to spread them out a little bit, just a thought.
Just thought of one other issue that I'm hoping doesn't survive past the beta... Respawn rates in the streets were absolutely ridiculous. Now, I know that there is quite a lot of "kill x, gather y" grind missions in the game, and it becomes crowde…
While I agree with most of the review, having played the Beta extensively, I have to say there are a few issues that could have been fleshed out a bit more...
The combat/controls system is both a positive and a negative. Yes, it's a great 'get ri…
The micro-transactions are a fact of life in MMOs today, and become more so all the time. You have to drop extra money in WoW, City of Heroes, etc. just to get some of the new good stuff (that used to be free in updates). The fact that subscriptio…
Yah, let's go back to the massive crippling DRM, rootkits and being forced to have your DVD in the drive at all times to play a game... Having to keep track of the original DVDs... Looking at horror upon the big scratch on an original which means…
I loved Earth & Beyond, and would love to see it resurrected. It definitely had some fun aspects to it, and was the first "non-traditional" MMO that I had encountered.
But the one I really would like to see come back is Auto Assault. I did …

Ups... fail! Why do step back? One of unique GW feature lost.

I'll be interested to see just what they do with the armor. I can see not having class-specific armor any more, the number of variations required for all classes across all races would be ridiculous. So, if they go with just the 3 levels of armor …

Wow, anyone know how to do an impartial review?
Review a new game on the fact it is a new game?
This is, in fact, the second review of Champions I've read here on MMORPG, the first being a "just launched" fir…
I hate to say it, but I'm not surprised at all by this review (and all of the others concerning Champs). I'm a 5+ year veteran of City of Heroes/Villains, and Champs is suffering the same short-sighted tendencies and bizarre concentrations on trivi…
Very adept summary of the taste being left in everyone's mouth with Champions now that it has launched. Sadly, the state of the game is not surprising at all to someone (like me) who is a 5 year veteran player of City of Heroes. I was rather expec…
As a post-apocalyptic junkie, I was more than a little disappointed by my experiences (so far) with the Fallen Earth beta. The concept itself has merit and some good strong points, but the implementation is clunky and a bit too generic for my taste…
Auto Assault was a really fun game that suffered from a few basic issues (some of which could have been avoided)...
1) The concept of Auto Assault was put through the "carebear" ringer, to try to soften it up and make it more like other MMOs out …
