This argument was also made for Warhammer, btw.  Many people told critics to not judge the game based on the early levels because the endgame and cityseiges were "where the real game is", despite not having played at endgame themselves.  Once everyone got to endgame, they found out they were wrong, and endgame was not fun and didn't work right.

As far as I know the only people that even know what endgame in Aion is like are people that have played the chinese client, and I don't see many of them on here raving about how awesome the game gets at endgame based on personal experience.

Just a note. Why on earth?! Why the HELL?! WTF?! WHo the Retarded?! ahh whatever !!

let me try again ... why the almighty f*cking hell would I waste time here if im having a good time in game? I'd be too bussy playing the game of course.

The reason im posting is I am at work and can't play the game. 1 hour lunch, raining outside, so im sitting in my office browsing the forums.

Kind of confused with the OPs post.  Early game to mid game Aion is pretty cool.  End game is absolutely garbage.  Played open and closed beta and had a blast.  Had a grand ol' time for a month and got my toon to high end status in the second and it clicked...Aion has no legit end game.  This "PVPVE" notion was a farce and the pvp in Aion was terribad.

I don't like the game because...

    1) PVP balance isnt very good.

    2) Fort sieges and large scale pvp is HORRIBLY lagged.  This is not network lag, but poor programming lag.

    3) Flight makes pvp BORING!! Engage....run engage....run ect rinse repeat.

    4) PVP is boring because you HAVE to use potions to compete.

    5) Mid level PVP has the worst balance ive ever seen.  Ranger and Sin Twinks are out of control.

    6) Dredgion is a joke.  Got a SM anyone?

I could keep going but what is the point ?  That being said i can see why some people like it as its a fairly decent game, but dont assume everyone doesnt like the game because of content, or because the didn't make it past level 10.  The game does have legitimate issues.

    I have 1 level 50 a sorc, and one level 38 a chanter.

I will get right to the point and say exactly what I didn't like about Aion without any coating or bull shit.

#1 I don't like open world PvP games where you can be ganked by a person of ANY level. If a game has PvP I want to have a fair chance to at the very least put up a decent fight and go down swinging. Once a game lets its player base go to lower level areas and gank people who can't defend themselves I don't want to play it.

#2 I believe the leveling was to slow. The key to a slow leveling game to me has always been group co-op game play. I can do heavy grind games as long as they are VERY VERY VERY and almost exclusively centered around group game play from the start. If a game is focused on solo questing and the grind is really steep I loose interest. If the game is focused on group combat like FFXI for example I can keep it a bit longer.

#3 To many bright mmos coming out in the next year or so to want to make a commitment to any one of them. I saw Aion it looked awesome, I bought it I ended up feeling "Meh" so I stopped, and now waiting for the next big mmo to try out. FFXIV Tera and Guild wars 2.

So these are basically the 3 reasons I personally quit Aion at level 31
