Norn Warrior if they keep the skills "Defy pain"+"Endure pain" and the racial skill like "Bear form" ill be invencible!
I will start with a human first because i want to explore Dvinity's Reach. Have to check out the city life there, the games, and definately get some bar brawl action happening .

I don't really want to get involved in this argument but the irony of the statement I quoted forced my hand.
Devil you do realise that naming something that other people like as a 'freaky childhood obsession' is a personal attack labelling those people as freaks, childish and obsessive right? A personal attack doesn't have to be directed at one person, it merely has to be aimed at those holding a given belief or opinion. It's the same as you telling a gay person that you think homosexuality is sick and disgusting (not that I am saying you hold such a view), that may be your opinion but they would have every right to be offended by it.
DId you seriously just compare someone being gay as to whether or not someone roleplays a nonhuman in an mmorpg? If someone cares that strongly about roleplaying a nonhuman in a MMOPRG, Then I guess my opinion as it being a " freaky childhood OBSESSION" would most definately apply.
If that is offensive- then yes they are indeed taking things too seriously. Now from the other side of this, It makes perfect sense why someone with Achondroplasia being referred to as a " dwarf" or someone with ear deformaties being referred to as an "elf"
But for someone to take offense because someone else finds playing non humans a " freaky childhood obsession" is more than a bit of a stretch. That is absurd.
I have been a fan of Guild wars from the start, been looking forward to this game from the beginning, and took part in the surveys they used to create this game. You can go look at the very first post in this Guild wars 2 forum, and I am there, cheering Arena Net on. I am not saying they should remove what they have already put into the game, but I am entitled to my opinion on whether or not it was tasteful to do so. I find it in poor taste.

The "don't use personal attacks" line just after personally attacking huge swathes of people was quite amusing. You're trolling and you don't even realise.
Feel free to rp a racist in game, rp makes everything richer, and you're eloquent enough to do it properly, if you're so inclined. Just please stay in character and don't judge people outside of the game, people have many reasons for liking what they like.
Personally going to pick Asura, I like playing small, scientifically minded races (with mechs), it's a nice change.
After that Slyvari, never played a plant before, i'm sure they'll have some fantastic emerging lore for their new race.

I'm going charr. I don't like playing the "normal " races. I love playing races like tauren and trolls in wow, or like mahirim in darkfall.
Charr or Sylvari. It depends on which classes look most interesting at launch.

From My understanding this was Guild Wars 2 forums, a forum which I have been an active member from the beginning, not Venomzer0 s forum where he decides what posters should and should not respond to. I was addressed, I replied, and no, you do not have authority over me to command me to leave because you did not agree with what I had stated. Thank you.
Torn, really. I love melee classes so, as of this date, the warrior looks like a whole ball of up-front, face smashing fun. I'll probably roll a Char or Norn warrior as my first.
A strong second would be a human mesmer, born from royalty, but with high ferocity as a personality path.
But I'll have to see when the rest of the classes come out and make themselves known.

You take your opinion of yourself far too seriously. Noone honestly believes dwarves in world of warcraft are the exact same as Achondroplasia sufferers in real life. Stop making straw man arguments and stop assuming anyone gives a damn what you think, you are clearly just arguing for the sake of arguing and being a postcount whore.

I was going to play Sylvari, until I saw one in the first trailer, they look imported straight from Aion/Lineage/Any-Other-Asian-MMO, just not what i was hoping for unfortunately.
BTW, he's not really trolling, he just has a well-formed opinion, one which I can relate to.

Human is so far the most chosen race in the polls.
I would expect it to be that way, considering that was a draw for Guild Wars in the first place. The fact that there were only Human playable races was the reason I chose to purchase it at the time. I liked the idea of a " human " entering a world rather than some weird creature like many of the other games were doing at the time.

LOL I am not anonymous.. far from it. I have many friends on here, and more than a few people have posted my pictures. Online and Offline may be two different worlds to you, but for some of us, it is not. I hang with my friends in the gaming community for real, and when I was invited to this site, It was because of my outgoing personality and to " shake things up a bit".
