It's already out a year in Asia, Aion had kinda the same, a launch in the west a year after the Asian launch. So April/May doesn't sound that unrealistic.

I'm not talking about the release date. I know the game has already launched in korea and thats why I want to test the game first, because KTERA is a failure.

Risky because of all the NCSoft dispute.

    Too soon to pre-order.

Somebody should tell them that pounds are worth more than US dollars.

Somebody should tell you that that's euros not pounds.

In fact I am right now.

Euros are still worth more than US dollars.

I will be preordering today for sure, This is 1 of those games that kept impressing me as more content is shown. I played the KTERA. No grind whatsoever, you get a huge range of Group questing in the open world and solo quests. Groups are better ofcourse but Solo does the job too. Its a great game, Very nice combat system that requires skills and not just keyboard mashing. I played the Whole way to 58 in KTERA and man even though it was in korean... THE story was pretty impressive. Great job to the creators this has not failed my expectations.

same here I pre ordered, I want to test the combat sysytem for a couple months and see where this goes, if I dislike it, well its only $60 ,

I know Ktera was a rough start since it was pretty unfinished, I am hoping that in the last year it will be much more complete for the NA/EU release, esxpecting a few problems but nothing too major.

Same with me Azmodai.  I also enjoyed my time in Ktera,  And now that beta is right around the corner i'm gonna let my Korean account drop and focus on NA.

I can confirm that you can get that email from them while ordering in the US.   That references access to their beta events.

Whether that's tied to paticular version or not... I can't say.  <- That is my *disclaimer* because I can tell from the copy/paste that the poster ordered a digital collector's edition.   If the standard digital doesn't come with beta access I don't want to get anyone mad at me.  (I ordered a digital collector's for kicks myself).

I rather play the beta, before i start giving my money to these guys, or pre-ordering it.

Its unusual really. Don't see it very often. Either way, its wrong to charge at 1:1.

    Haha, basically a paid beta.

Who in their right mind would pay full price, when they can pay £4.10 for all the closed and open beta's, all the pre-order benefits and if it's crap, just don't buy.

I'm getting it now, i'll spend more on my lunch at work.

Who in their right mind would pay for full price?
Those of us who played the Korean version and liked what we played and were itching at the opportunity to play it fully translated and with pings under 100.
    That's who.

    Ok, re-phrase that:

Who would pay £40 to try the game instead of £4 and keep all the benefits.

    I meant no harm :)
I thought I was adding to what you said.

Haven't been following this very close, but it looked good and I actually thought about a preorder for some beta since I don't have anything fun to play at the moment, until I read about the PVP. Did't like that at all. Hopefully they change it.

It's not unusual dude. I go to the store every week that's how much new games cost.

I'm feeling really torn over TERA.  On the one hand I'm concerned about the lawsuits (past and present) and the reasons for them in the first place, but on the other hand I do want to try this game.  I am going to hold off ordering it for now.

    pie.

  • VegettoVegetto Member Posts: 841

My lunch at work today cost the same as the mini pre-order of Tera - £4.

If it gives me as much pleasure as the 5 minutes it took to eat my sandwich, it's value.

NCSoft is the right one. If it was Blizzard telling that Bluehole stolen your project of... "World of Warcraft 2", for exampla, you guys would kill Bluehole with bad words.

Its sad that TERA Online is the Lineage 3 that too much people was waiting to play. Is sad to know that L3 wouldn't be here because TERA (A copycat) is here.

An solution? Give TERA rights to NCSoft too and be happy.

I'm still waiting for LIneage 3 (Not Lineage Eternal ¬¬). Aion is a good game, but not so expensive like l2 and no open world. ArcheAge will be perfect too. While I wait for ArcheAge and Ragnarök 2 and CABAL 2... I'll play my dear Aion - Free To Play ♥

Maybe I misunderstood what you meant by pricing being the norm. I simply meant euro and dollar being the exact same is unusual.
