    This view is getting old.

I gave my kids allowance to their PAYPAL accounts and they all have a check-card that can be used as a CC. I am sure i am not the only one doing so.

Replying to the main post. Didn't read the replies.

I guess you're right..age is low.Not going into analyzing why, but i guess there are solutions.

    1) Shaping an adult only Guild. Ofc it's hard because people can just shoot off the hip about their age but there are ways of getting to understand your fellows

    2) +18 year old  people servers? Again people can lie, but  an introduction paragraph like " Allowing older people to have a gaming experience which fits their mentality and way of looking at things"

..guess thats all i can think of as for now.

I was thinking more of kids getting around their parents without them knowing nariusseldon. Something we have all done. The other method is convincing your parents you need to do something when parental instinct says no. A friend at work finally allowed his daughters to go on school only chatroom sites after they convinced him that not being on the sites causes a new form of school bullying! You can just imagine those girls sat round thinking up reasons to get all their mates online.

As I say, we have all done it and if I had been ten when MMO’s started I would be using every trick in the book to get online.

I generally find fellow adults give me more troubles than kids.  Frankly, I'd find an adult-only server hilarious, as I'm sure there'd be quite an upswing in profanity and other "content" I have no interest in.  Anyhow, I wouldn't want an MMO experience without the little ones.

The complaint needs to be against parents who raise their kids wrong because they are wrong/messed up.  What child cusses every other word when they are not even seven years old yet?  I like the kids and I'm always going to help them out whenever I can.  Even the vulgar ones.  I try to show them by example there is a better way to be than your drunken dad/mom taught you.  I invite all my little cousins into the games I play.  I just get ate up when I see them cry because some bully troll messed with their heads.   I teach them how to use the internet smart and not take every little thing to heart.  Be cold and honorable and to heck with what anyone thinks.

Be nice to the kids!  Their our future.

The problem isn't children in the game, the problem is adults ACTING like children in the game.

    Here we go.

I feel sometimes that there are too many children in MMO, or rather  too few MMO oriented towards adults. I love children, even though I have none of my own, but I would go bonkers if I had to deal with children all day long, I don't know how some people do it.

Now that MMO became mainstream and F2P, the average age in MMO seems to have steadily gone down over time. Trying to have a good conversation in the game or on forums of a particular game, is sometimes unnecessary complex because there is a communication barrier.

It becomes even more of an issue when you live in Europe like me. We rely on English to overcome the language barrier but the English of younger MMO players is sometimes so bad that I can hardly make out what they're trying to say.

Does anyone experience the same issues as I have, that the average age of the MMO player is so low that it takes away some of the enjoyment of socialising in the game?

    Thanks.

I've been gone from mmo's for about 4 years due to this fact. I just wrote something of the same nature and posted it, only to look a couple threads down and you stating the exact some thing, more efficiently! Nail on the head, perfection thank you for posting this.
