Elder Scrolls Online: ESO Launching April 4th, 2014 - PVP Detailed in New Video

Today Zenimax Online Studios and Bethesda announced that Elder Scrolls Online will be launching worldwide simultaneously on Mac and PC on April 4th, 2014 (4.4.14). The Xbox One and Playstation 4 will follow in June 2014. In addition, the team put out a detailed new video look at the Alliance War - ESO's Massive PVP system. Read on!

Full pricing and pre-order details are still to come, but while we wait the next five months for the launch of Elder Scrolls Online, it seems that we're finally getting some solid details on the game's much-anticipated PVP system that will allow players to take on the role of emperor of Tamriel. Watch the video below and let us know your thoughts on both the April launch date and the AvA warfare.

    Exactly what I thought when I watched the video. Not saying that is a bad thing though. Yet one more thing that leaves me on the fence about this game. Man, I want it to be good!

    at :35 seconds they show a crossbow for the first time.  but other than that yeah not much details.

    Hopefully this means open beta isn't too far off. One weekend isn't quite enough, I'd definitely like to try it again before purchasing it. Open beta is a better time to make such decisions as bug fixing really isn't the point.

    Can't wait myself, going to be hands down best PvP of any mmo in last 10 years. Just stating the facts.  Looked identical to DAoC which I played for many years hardcore and still play from time to time today.

    I agree with someone above. Too soon. Concerned that they are being stubborn about any core changes based on feedback, but I guess we will see soon enough.

    If it's gonna be like GW2 / WAR where you can get points by just capping an empty keep than goodluck.

    Good that the one thing that isn't in TES and doesn't even define TES is the focus of this mmo. I want devs to understand you can't bend IPs and lore to fit your moronic style of play which is pvp. TES doesn't need pvp, never did. I'd like their launch video is all about exploring adventuring and living in a world, which is TES is all about but ofc go snatch an ip to fit your second attempt of a DAoC which you could just do as well without abusing the TES ip.

    I can't wait!  In the meantime, I just started a new game of Arena and hope to have played through it, Daggerfalls and Morrowind by the release date.
