It does have insane pop in for lots of things. Nearly all vegetation. The faster you are going the worse it is. Towns are also crowded to the point that the game can't keep with what people are wearing. I see default clothing load and then their true look load a few seconds later. It has its weakness for sure. Up close it is the best looking game I have seen lately, but I would still set a few MMOs over it for overall graphics. Mainly due to the superior draw distance of other titles.
View distance sucks? Can't be serious, unless he really has a crap PC and didn't enable high end mode.
Yes I'm serious, sure you can see far but it aint pretty. I have evrything on max except high end mode, I didnt notice much of a difference with it enabled only its a fps hog.
Are you trolling Maugrim? You say right here you don't have High End mode enabled. Without high end you can't have improved distance.
As I sead before I had high end mode ticked in I didn't saw much of a improvement that justify losing half my fps.
Well, posting a YouTube clip where you didn't max your view distance, complaining about view distance is a bit inane, tbh. Unless you choose to max view distance you won't get max view distance. And if you didn't notice a difference something is probably bugged. But do post a clip with said options enabled if you want to show how max view distance is too low.
I like Black Desert but view distance is not on the same level as Vanguard. Obviously we don't know the spec of these two PC and what they have turned on but it would take a lot to beat Vanguards view distance imo.
And now I'm missing Vanguard again. Damn you!

The draw distance is driving me crazy as well. But I'm not going to buy a new computer to have the game have a normal gaming view distance. I wish I was able to turn things down close up to gain some draw distance. Seeing really far off is really really important in an open world PvP game. Darkfall UW has a crazy far crystal clear view distance in a seamless world. At the expense of close up graphics, which is fine with me. Also the foliage is way over the top too much, I'm looking to see what I can do about that.
Overall, the game looks great up close. Up close isn't what counts in open world PvP though.

then don't? only thing I see people talking about the game is the graphics, not about the rest with is the important part, is like only graphics are good on this game
I really don't see anything impressive about the graphics. Yeah some textures are above average but that's about it. Trees and bushes look like crap and everything's so freakin cluttered my eyes ache after 10 mins. Overall very disappointed with this game. Waste of 30 bucks.
The focus and AA can be adjusted in the settings menu, the flickering shadows problem is probably with your own PC. I personally have not experienced it.
You must be really unobservant, the pop in for shadows is as bad as I've seen on any game. It has absolutely nothing to do with "your own PC". Its been noted on most reviews and is present for people with super high end gaming rigs, its just there, that fact you don't notice it, well lots people don't notice allot of things in life.
Because the game is gorgeous. What kind of troll post is this? I didn't even like the game very much when I played it but if nothing else it was breathtaking visually in a lot of ways. Go out to the shore and watch the waves roll in is crazy. Posts like this are ridiculous

Oh it's there.
The game seems to load them as you move along.

It's obviously just their way of dealing with population and NPC density. Out in the wild you don't see the black silhouettes popping into rendered characters or NPCs (characters also seem to have priority over NPCs and mobs higher priority than both) nearly as much as you do in a very crowded area like Velia, Heidel or Calpheon.
It probably has a lot more to do with bandwidth than graphics limitations. You also see this occasionally in ESO despite it having much lower rez textures to deal with.
OTOH, I have never experienced more realism fighting in a wheat field in any other game where the height of the wheat makes it hard to see the mobs. There are a couple of quests south of Heidel that have you doing that.

It very well could be bandwidth.
I love how you fight in a wheat field and you actually take out the wheat in your area with each swing.
Speaking of realism, did you know that certain animals will hide when you pass and then come out of hiding when you have moved on?
On of my guild mates noticed a raccoon or some such thing doing that. The level of detail in the game is amazing.

It also varies by animal type. I had a quick quest where I needed to kill a couple of goats and they all ran from me when I started attacking. Later on I was just exploring and ran into a bear that charged me.
Also love the realistic scale of the mobs: goats are goat sized, bears are bear sized and those damn tiny bees that hit pretty hard. My first death on my wiz was to some of those bees I could barely find to fight back

Nothing to do with bandwidth, all that is done purely client side.
I've watched quite a few videos on this game and scrolled through hundreds of screenshots. If this game is anything at all, it's great looking. In fact, I'd say that compared to the vast majority of MMO's out today, it's fantastic looking.
This game's "issues" as far as I'm concerned lie with core game choices, the cash shop, and some of the game mechanics but certainly not in graphics department.
Non of that matters as long as the game looks good. Didn't you know its all about the graphics that make games good to people today.
Lots of places to pick real holes in this game. Im sitting on the sidelines for now because of more than a few but graphics is not a problem here. If you have higher standards I suggest you STOP PLAYING MMOs!!!!!

I think it's more "about" people appreciating and being inspired by great art design.
If I don't like the art design then I never want to play the game. That's just the way I'm built. I also own over 75 ties because having 3 go to ties is not to my taste.
Aesthetics are important to me. And I realize that it's not important to others. It doesn't make them "less than" or bad people or anything like that.
Just some people are sensitive to the aesthetics in their lives and some people aren't.
It just is what it is.

The game is beautiful, all the scenic shots are amazing. IDK how people can say it's not unless they are playing them in below medium settings. And even then it's very pretty.
