The facebook link was taken down.  He was playing a zombie game and they are coming at him from every direction.  You see in the captions he ran out of bullets so he is using weapons to kill them.  And he is 81 years old.
Honestly this makes me want to buy one right now.
Yeah. I can honestly say this is a stupid ass gimmick that stupid people fall for
I can understand some people don't like how realistic it is and how much interaction it is.  To each his own.  Sure I guess if you continue to love watching B/W tube televisions who is to argue and disagree.
There is absolutely nothing realistic about this so called "VR" of today

~20 years ago there was the Philips Scuba.... basically the precursor to this whole fake VR thing. It failed to gain market and died, just like this new wave will for much the same reasons. God only knows how much damage has been caused by the HTC users flailing around.
Trolling, being trolled, getting banned, yelling at mods, getting perma banned, making new accounts, and still trolling this site since 2004 =D

Yea standing face to face with a life sized zombie or looking up at a 20 feet tall dragon.  Completely unrealistic and silly to even think about. Nothing awesome here move along.
Are you onto something or just on something?

Not interested until SAO like technology exists.

As a person with monovision anytime I see or hear about VR or 3D I get a bitter expression.
You cannot see 3D, but you can use a VR headset and utilize the headtracking.

Nope, nothing at all. Get a TrackIR and either get up close to your monitor, or just hook up to a projector or other large screen for the same exact effect. Watering down what VR used to be envisioned as still won't make this passing fad VR.

That comparison is absurd.  Trying to say that looking at a big screen is better then standing next to a life sized living breathing model is just absolutely absurd.  So you'd rather see a dragon on movie screen or a computer screen then look up at one as though you are standing right next to it?  Don't be silly and stop being dishonest here.  There is no computer screen in the world that will make you actually feel like this.  Keep lying to yourself.

VR actually makes you feel like you are in the fantasy world.  No computer screen or game has ever been able to capture this effect.  Being in denial doesn't change this.
