This video was made by a spanish guild, 50 players in a real localized FPS / Dogfighting event (the dynamic camera stuff is just a feature in-game), this absolutely shows the potential the game has on gameplay.
It's also a reminder they still have a long way to go on optimization and polishing up so the gameplay mechanics feel good. That sort of gameplay when the most needed optimizations and when they get to the polish of mechanics, shows something really unique from what we are used on the MMO genre, hence the support it continues to get. It may develop slowly but it's getting there.

SC is also never going to be about large-scale PvP like PS2 or EvE, but with the server meshing, it should allow for situations like that vid, and that's fair enough because with higher quality visuals no ways you'll get hundreds of players/ships on-screen without getting lag-rekd even if the servers could handle it.
If those rumors are also true then it's just yet another battle royale, because these larger publishers love to milk a genre to exhaustion, zombie survival craze all over again. <.<
Potential...achieve,yeah words we could use for any game.
That video did not convince me of anything now or to expect in the future.
Like if you didn't attach any developer to that video you would think..hmm cheap looking, move on ,nothing to see here.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Will there be no attempt at any sort of realism with the physics, at least in space?

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
Have fun
The ground battles in Planetside make that video look like toddler's play.
Just like dogfights in ED make SC dogfights look like kindergardeners throwing their food around.
Just like a proper FPS like R6:Siege makes Star Marine look like a 2-hour Unity tutorial.
But I guess being able to do basic bland versions of all the above in a big map is more important for some than well done engaging gameplay.
Each to their own.

Though if someone wants to pitch the idea to CR, maybe he can decide to add it in (irregardless of work/delay).

Better yet, you could probably fit a handfull ofmore comparisons from other games in there of completely different genres !
That's probably the biggest compliment you could ever give to this project
Props
