Oh maybe like a crono trigger too?

I would buy Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana in MMO form in a heartbeat!

Hell yes! Or how about a final fantasyis MMO with instanced turn based combat like the console games, I'd love to see that in an MMO, call me old fashioned, but I always liked that about console MMOs, and I could see it implemented pretty well in an MMO.

I like Sci-FI, so something futuristic like Robotech or maybe something based in the 2000ad comic's universe.

Not a game but I would like to see Battlestar Gallactica become a mmo.  Even a standalone game would be great

Although that would be friggin' AWESOME, I kinda think that a game as classic as Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana should be preserved in their old classic state. Besides... all those 12 year olds probably don't even know about the glory days of SNES (much less appreciate them).

*Sigh* Where have those days gone?

    KOTOR

which actually might not be as far away as you may first think! Bioware have announced they are working on a 'secret' MMO, nobody knows what exactly it'll be, but people are crossing their fingers for something starwarsy.

True true, but I mean they were so good I still play them. >.> I could say some enix games, but I think they are too perfect to just be made into a MMO. (Like soulblazer, Illusions of Gaia, and the likes as that.) But actually maybe a Star Ocean MMO wouldn't be so bad.

Ooh, now THAT would be interesting. I haven't played all of Star Ocean yet (It's so long... >_<) but from I played, I can totally see how it can become an interesting MMO.

    1. StarTropics
    2. Metal Gear
    3. Battlefield Earth

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

I might be a tool for saying this, but I totally liked the .hack video games, and want to totally play that as a real MMO. Though I do need to get 2-4 to learn the story before GU comes out. >.> I'm such a damn tool.

I know it sounds kiddy, but why hasn't there been a Pokemon MMORPG yet?  It has all the elements.  Hundreds of different pokemon you could sell/trade.  Rare items to help boost your pokemons stats.  I guess the community would be pretty horrible because it would probably be overrun by 12 year olds.

    Looking for something new.

Actually the game is very good. The only thing is that everything else with pokemon is extremely kiddy. If those things weren't released, them I highly doubt it would be considered as kiddy as it is.

    Hmmm...

If I would be given a MMO to create and a green light for everything...

Sword of Aragon.  Nice setting, lot of freedom as most of the world is unknown.  Homage to SSI, cheap license to acquire.  But that would be my personnal choice.

The world of DragonLance or Mystara would be my second choices and it setting is far more popular...yet far less freedom!

The Legacy of Kain series (sticking true to the mindtwisting, headache-imbuing storyline!), especially neat since there's different vampire clans with diff ablities already there to make up races, + humans and eventually demons.

Valkyrie Profile, an awesome PSX RPG by Enix, and would also be the most "norse" MMO to date. (the only comparable thing being the realm of Midgard in DAoC) The mythology has the background for awesome ingame events and storyline progression... and since you're dead anyway, resurrection when player characters die can be explained.

Breath of Fire series, THE RPG line from Capcom, has races and classes existant already, along with lore and similarly changing worlds form title to title that bear common themes similar to how the final fantasy series works. Also offers probably THE best end-game rewards for people depending on their race. (Dragon morph probably comes to mind, though there's Wings for Windians too, or the diferent map abilities Jean, Rand, Stan etc. had in BoF 2)

Shadowrun.  I just don't understand why a game with BOTH orcs, elves and trolls AND computers, guns, cars and neural interfaces hasn't been even touched on the PC in any form.  And with all the pnp source material to draw upon, I'm just at a loss as to why it hasn't been considered.

You should keep an eye out for Goon World, it's being developed by the co-creator of MMORPG.com.

Are you remembering that from Joel? Cause I thought the admin said he didn't know anything about that.

You got the 2 factions, The runners and...the rebels? I dunno what they're called. Plus robots!

    1) World Wrestling Entertainment MMO

    2) Street Fighter MMO

Psi ops + Bushido blade + street fighter + mideval total war =

Unreal online isn't a bad idea either

GTA online would be Nice.  So does a star wars one, like pre-cu but more balanced.
