I didn't resub because i found out i didn't like my character, class, builds at Veteran Rank 4 today. That may sound ridiculous, and maybe it is, but i spend 1-50 and v1-v4 trying out different things with my templar and was just completely dissatisfied after trying a million different things. I tried playing another class and my stomach just sank knowing i'd have to do all that again and i sadly lost interest. Who knows, maybe i'll play another time, but i just don't have the will to continue.
* Shallow level experience; grind quest or aoe grind.
* Shallow stat system; I can't see myself being intrested in fiddling with the gear when so few choices are available stat wise.
* Bad progression of VR dungeons; the first 3 dungeons are VR5 the second 3 are VR10. What happened to spacing them out and allow progression through them?
* Unresponsive combat; random length delay when switching weapon, spells randomly not having any effect.
* Atrocious UI (especially for grouping); the health bars of group members in the UI lagging behind those over their heads makes for a very irritating healing experience... No way of tracking your buffs on team members doesn't help..
Originally posted by Channce I see this thread as good news, means the ones ingame next month will be the ones who want to play and not flood zone with hate.
I see your point. I'm from the DAoC generation though. So I was one of those who, while playing, helped people that needed help. I'm not saying my presence will be missed, I'm just saying that some people that are leaving aren't hateful people. They're just normal people who were looking forward to a new MMO, that they could possibly play for months/years, but in the end found themselves not wanting to play for whatever reason.
I really think if ESO didn't have the limited hotbar situation, I'd of never rerolled, which in turn means I'd of never had to keep slogging through the same content. Content, mind you, that I was completely engaged in and loved every minute of. The kicker is, although I spent a few hours late last weekend creating a new build using the knowledge I gained from playing before and through theorycrafting websites, I don't even have to motivation to make it through the 12+ hours to get to where I was before, because who knows if by the time I get halfway through, I find out that my build is gimp and I have to reroll another character. Let's face it, redoing 12 hours of content is less frustrating than losing to some of the bosses along the way due to being gimped.
These issues where to be expected.... Espescially from a company related to Bethesda that is allready renown for releasing bugfilled single player games..
Most people leaving, are those people that dont like questing, and thats probably the same reason why they left all those other MMo´s too..
I rather enjoyed the quests, so...
I just don't like redoing the same content over and over again just because the character building system is so limited that a person can't narrow down his play style into one character, thus requiring numerous rerolls to create an acceptable toon. ESO does a good job of challenging the player on some of the early bosses, so if you roll a gimp toon, it's either reroll or endure torturous levels until you can afford/get a respec.
I have cancelled the sub solely on the account of duping exploits. Other issues I can live with, this one is just too much for me. Once their get their shit together, fix all exploits and launch new server to begin on fair footing I will give it a try once again. For now I will not be paying to beta test this game.
my primary reason for not resubbing is that my computer isn't powerful enough to run it, so no point in resubbing when I wasn't ever able to play it. I'm working on getting a better computer, then I will resub so I can at least get some gameplay for my $60 for purchasing the game.
========================== The game is dead not, this game is good we make it and Romania Tv give it 5 goat heads, this is good rating for game.

This is strange. ESO runs much smoother than many of the new games. I run it fine in a 4 year old PC :-)
Another one of these threads? Also did you ask a question and then answer it yourself?
Do you really think that anyone gives a damn that an anonymous internet person stopped playing a video game, or that you don't like something?
lol you obviously do because you.....er replied. Eso is just another fail game. plain and simple, NEXT.....
So because he replied it means he cares? Brilliant logic. If someone tells me something in real life and I reply to say that I don't care, does the fact that I replied mean that I actually care.
Poor analogy.
If someone talks to you directly in real life, a response to acknowledge you heard what was said is at least expected. To completely ignore that they said anything would be rude. Because you're right there. In person. Face to face.
On a forum, it's not rude to not respond, since no one knows you even opened the thread until you type a response and click the "submit" button. At that point, you've demonstrated enough concern over what was said to take the time to type a response. So, no... it's not the same thing as saying "I don't care" in real life.
Someone posting "I don't care" on a message forum is not an indication of disinterest. It's just the poster trying to be clever/snarky on the internet.
So, by responding, ultrastoat has demonstrated that they do care about what the OP said. In fact, they continue to respond even beyond their first post. So clearly, they're interested in what's being said... even if only to try and silence an opinion they don't like... which is basically all that's going on there.
In this case, ultrastoat is actually being rude by responding in the way they did.
Also, ultrastoat makes the all-too-common mistake of attempting to speak for a group of people when he says "do you think that anyone gives a damn". Big mistake there, because ultimately... they have no idea how many may care or not.
Most people leaving, are those people that dont like questing, and thats probably the same reason why they left all those other MMo´s too..
There are a million reasons to not like a game.
People who like questing leave games all the time, and people who hate questing leave games all the time for reasons totally unrelated to questing.
Many MMOs (or all MMOs?) these days allow one to play and advance without questing anyways.
I hate questing, but I can't name one MMO I ever left aside from TESO over it. And its a long list. I also can't remember any MMO I felt so forced to do it in for such extended periods.
Originally posted by flizzer Im not even playing this game and I find this thread hilarious. Why did these people buy it in the first place? I almost feel I could sell anything to these people. Gamers are such a fickle bunch I guess.
Some people like to try things themselves instead of listening to other people's opinion and deciding based on that.. also some people don't care about losing a bit of money for that privilege. Yes, hilarious......
its ok to buy anything you want m8 just don't come crying when it is not what you wanted it to be......b4 buying i try'd the ESO beta and it didnt impress me enough to buy it........this weekend wildstar beta......let's see if they can do the trick??
I am playing dark souls for the first time now and loving it,cant wait for dark souls 2.
so I will re sub.for eso while playing dark souls rather than buying wild star.
tell me what else is there to play.
I picked up Dark Souls earlier this year and have put over 400 hours into the game...absolutely loved it!!
Dark Souls 2 should unlck in my Steam account tomorrow and I literally CANNOT wait to get playing it
No WS beta for ME this weekend lol!!
Seriously? You're skipping the WS beta? No, don't do it! Don't!
Lol...ok, ok well maybe that was a bit of an exageration
WS will definitely get some time off me this weekend as I am having a blast playing it and am only one level away from getting house / mount
But I am super excited for DS2...really glad I purchased on Steam too as I live in the UK where the retail release has been put back a week due to an issue with the manufacturing of the boxed versions
The environment and setting just didnt grab me. The combat was a bit on the meh side as well. Stories and voice acting were good. Dungeons were a let down, and im not much of a pvper.
Wildstar is more my style, more vibrant colors. Now if only Wildstar had ESO's optimization...... >_<
Though I do wish the color scheme was just a little more vibrant in ESO, I think it pretty much nails the vibe of what they are trying to portray. If it was too vibrant, it would seem silly. It was like when I installed the Jungle Mod for Skyrim. It looked amazing, but I felt like the entire tone of the game changed and I had to uninstall it.
I certainly agree that they nailed what they set out to do, it, in the end, didnt fit what I was looking for. Part of my disapointment stems from the other players, they actually seem to take away from the game when im doing a public dungeon of a quest with lots of triggered events.
Part of the problem for me may lie in the fact that I bought Reaper of Souls shortly before ESO's release, and it made me fall in love with D3 like I hadnt before. So my interest was dampened.
Thats understandable. Everyone has a different preference. I may try Diablo 3 when it releases on the PS4 as that is more of a game Id rather lay on the couch and play on my big screen.
Eh ? You dont need a console to play on your big TV, just connect your PC with a HDMI cable. There isnt a reason to buy a console if you have good PC. You also can just buy a controller, you dont even have to play with a mouse if you dont want. Consoles are just inferior to PC in any way.
I found storage to be a major problem and the guild store system is a big turn-off for me. The mounts being very expensive and the one that came with the pack I bought only goes 15% faster than running. It just didn't grab me like I thought it would.
I hope they do some changes and then I can revisit this game.
The game is great, so it is not because I didn't enjoy it.
I unsubbed because I bought this game for the AvA, and I got burned out not being possible to level up through PvP. It was possible in the latest beta, and they removed the repeatable quest right before release, so I somewhat got cheated since they removed a feature I bought it for.
PvE is decent, but I'm fed up with it now. It takes ages to level (I do it through quests and not through all the weird things others do), so I unsubbed.

This been a common complain about the game. Many people are expecting something more anti thesis but didn't happen.

Yet, you cared enough to read and then respond to it.
I know I know... Someone's criticizing a game you like, so they must be called out on it.. blah blah. Same old routine.
Still, it's just like the old saying... Don't like the music, change the station.
In other words, don't like the thread, read a different one.
