I dont even want to talk about it any more. Because if this what people are calling a top RPG, then this is making me not want to play my PS3 anymore.
LOL! Ooo you want a good RPG for your lovely PS3 and you got Dragon Age: Origins?! XDXD You should get Demon Soul's and then got the PC version of Dragon Age: Origins...
I have Demon Soul also.. Dont like that game. But still had more fun playing it then DA

If you did just abit of rechearch you would of known by many reviews that the console version of dragon age simply does not compare to the PC version .
the console version is way easier and the graphics dont compare with PC's version.

If the OP actually researched anything this could all be avoided, I think you should have directed this towards him, in both cases of researching the game and console(s) version. Apparently he failed to research Demons Souls as well, it's apparent Troll is a Troll or really bad with his money. I'm voting both.
although if your party members still cannot die in combat then its really no point in playing
Hard to nightmare really required your party to be scripted perfectly or you will absolutely fail. Then again, don't shoot the game down you're either very good at tactically setting up your team or played on easy.
although if your party members still cannot die in combat then its really no point in playing
But the thing is, what's difference between your party members wiping, then you wiping and reloading as opposed to your party members wiping but not dying if you succeed, and then you wiping and still have to reload.
I see it as a silly argument.
In dragon age, if your party members go down they are down unless you can rez them. If you manage to still succeed at taking care of the encounter they come back, sort of like if they were knocked out. I seem to remember in BG (and remind me if I'm wrong) that though your members could die, you could rez them back somehow. And if not, how many people just reloaded from the last save?
It just saves a reload.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Yeah...that is why I said he should of got it for the PC....
and if you failed, you FAILED. You had the option of trying to do it perfectly by reloading if a party member died, or raising them after the battle and continuing.
It gave you options.
Here you just zerg in and if someone survives you all do. Spell conservation is gone, as is the need for a healer after battles.
It's a dumbed down version of what an rpg should be.
This game is very boring!! Damn the cut scenes are just crazy annoying. Damn and we cant even skip them. The game is just too damn slow. Tired of having to keep saving, just so I dont have to go through and repeat scenes if ya get killed.
I'm guessing you're a classic console gamer who enjoys fast-paced and alot more action oriented games. Dragon Age is an RPG that is more old-school, and is strongly story-oriented.
I think this is where Bioware failed with their promotional videos, they made the game feel way more like a fast action game then an RPG.
Should have looked up reviews on the game before buying it, and not believeing the Hype, like MMORPG do.
Damn I was just so pressed to get my hands on a good RPG for my PS3, since mine cant play my PS2 RPG games.
Dang the Commercials for DA looked so cool. iam thinking something along the lines of Dot Hack from the PS2, but with much better gameplay. But IMO I didnt get that.
Out of the 3 games I got for Christmas, 2 of them were RPGs, because I long craved from a console RPG again. But I just dont see much that reminds me of the PS2 RPGs I use to play.
So much focus is on Graphics rather the Quality.
Damn even Demon Soul got me. I figured it would be something similar to Dragonguard in a sence. But nope,, Its a hard game, and clunky hack and slash controls. Damn I did read a review on ign before playing it, but that was also (After I had Brought It,,,,and I was like YIKES). Silly Tro// Me I guess
Damn, I wanted the New Tales series RPG, but its only on 360 it seems. And I got tired of Elder Scrolls, (since I had it on my 360 before it broke), I got the PS3 version with the x-pacs included. But that was boring aswell after you exp everything already.

I'm sure this topic was random for you, like the other 30 you start a day. So I probably shouldn't take you to serious Troll.

Dragonsang is a very similar game that does it way better.. ok it's not fully voiced but really, who freaking cares, the game-play and story make up for that

DA:O actually looks worse on the 360 if you can believe it. You should try it on the PC, way more depth on the combat system, not to mention quality graphics, imo.
tro , you sound like some angry counterstrike Kid. RPG is nothing for you i think.
I played RPGs long before the 360 even came out.
I played
DarkCloud (luanch title for the PS2) and Darkcloud 2 from Level 5 (there was suppose to be a Darkcloud 3 for the PS3, but that never happened [ Once again, Graphics over quality])
I played both Dragonguard 1 and 2
I played Dot Hack 1-3
i played Tales of Symphonia
I played RPG Maker
I played Mark of Kri
I played Megaman Legend 1 and 2
and even more that I dont feel like going over.
Note all came out long before the 360 was even thought of.

It is 2 different games on console and PC. The PS3 version is not really a Bioware game, it doesn't feel like one at least. The PC version is what Bioware fans expect from them.

The PC version or the console version, that does not excuse what a average game DAO is,it's souless and linear and a long overplayed movie.

This has more in common with BG1 than DAO,an nice modern day old school RPG not some dumb shinny overplayed souless lord of the rings story rip off made by a dev company that will serve up crap because rampant fanboys can't see it IMO.
