Here guys, to give you a little more perception... level ten runes are,... wait for it... 6890 dollars... yes... 6890... wtf???
Don't forget for the full benefit (what was it again, 45% max HP and 15% more damage?) you need 6 of those level 10 runes. All for the low low price of $41,880. Better hold off on that expensive new car you wanted.
Well I was trying to get my friends to play but once I found this out we are just going to move on. Oh well, there is tons of MMOs out there. I wil just stay away from Gpotatoe games. Shame....

Lol, I'm not even upset anymore. They can keep their game and their 42000 dollar bonuses. Seriously, gpotato, you REALLY don't see anything wrong with this???
Those of us who frequent the Allods NA forums were told TIME and time again "Oh no, it won't be like that when our cash shop arrives so don't worry" They're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! It's far worse than we could've expected it to be RU Players pay $.03 per crystal We pay $.01 per Tatercash (someone in game came up with this name) Now OUR Bag that's 24 Slots is 2000 Tatercash (You do the math) RU Bag is 200 Crystals for 24 slot (again you get to do the math)
Crazy ain't it?
The way they're milking money is ridiculous but you can't compared the two regions on a cent for cent basis. the economies of RU and the US are completely different, $1 for them is much much more than it is to you.
I'm Russian myself. If you happen to live in bigger cities, there's not that big of a difference. Most MMO players ARE from big cities. The ones, that aren't mainly play on private servers. There are exceptions, of course, but, you know...
The prices are off the whack. That's without a question.
I hate WoW because it made my plush hamster kill himself, created twin clones of Hitler, punched Superboy Prime in reality, stared my dog down, spoiled my grandmother, assimilated me into the Borg, then made me into a real boy, just to make me a woman again.
Don't forget : 1 US dollar is about 30 Russian Roubles, and the salaries and so on...
So, let's reconsider the math and just say, this bag costs us (Ru) about 5-8 trips in the bus (different cities), or
about 4-5 loafs of bread, or a little less than a half of a cinema ticket (evening), or about a half car washing price (top only, very cheap, about one third for ordinary price).
That's for Siberia, Krasnoyarsk, in Moscow it may seem a little cheaper.

So we'll say 4-5ish dollars US is what we should be paying, tops. It may just be cheaper for me to take Russian language courses and play that version, lol.
I saw it coming, which is why I didn't even bother starting open beta. Perhaps maybe they'll ease up after hearing the outrage.

To give people some perspective here... in endgame raids or pvp, you pretty much have to use perfume to be affective. It gives +50% mana and health, and gets rid of the death penalty of -25% stats, stackable 4 times, that lasts at max level 50 minutes. These perfumes cost 13.5 dollars for 10 hours worth on the cash shop. Disappointing because the game is better quality than a LOT of p2p mmo's and is currently my favorite, the only f2p mmo I've ever enjoyed... but spending a months subscription on 10 hours game time is ridiculous. Hopefully nobody buys at this price and the prices go down, as this is the only f2p mmo I'd consider paying for, but I doubt it.
6 more inventory slots added onto a 18 slot bag costs 20 bucks, but it CAN be aquired in game.
Technically you can buy perfume on the AH, but at the price its going for nobody will sell it on the AH for anything remotely affordable. Drop the prices 60% and the 95% of the population who poled the prices overpriced will be happy to pay.
Hell, the Russian client only costs the equivilent of 2 us dollars for a bag.
I definetly agree with you. One of the first f2p game that i wanted to stick with and to pay but now i don't know.. but i will continue playing this game hopefuly they will lower the price.. and its a great game..
Game is crap, accept it and move on to better things.
Agree. Why bother with them ? They are certainly P2P alternative that offers a much better quality and value.
Not being a troll here - but what is left on the shelf that is worth playing?
WoW - pve grind fest that endlessly puts out expansions to "refresh" the gear you worked so hard for - pvp system that inspires the immature and militarily undereducated - I mean capture the flag? How old are we?
LOTRO - a better pve game that can be taken fairly seriously but no epical battles - top heavy as well meaning you'll solo almost to end game - this game would have truly benefitted from a 2 faction (Pvm is a joke where I can chat with the very monsters I just fought as they log in their freep...)
DAoC - pvp grind fest where you compete with bots farmers hackers and...did I mention bots?
Do you people forget you get 15 of them from a quest, there's a daily quest that gives you one per day, classes that have a ress spell won't get you the sickness, there's a way to pay in-game gold to remove sickness and there's also an item that people say it works some no that also removes sickness. [Edit] You can also purchase them from other people too. By this I'm not saying the prices are good as they are just stating that there are a lot of ways to get rid of the sickness.
1) the daily quest is cumbersome at best, and still it only means 30 minutes/day of ungimped gameplay
2) being ressed still apply the debuff.
Yes, you heard it right.
Basically ress is this game is all but USELESS, because if you think about it for a second I´d rather NOT get ressed if im gonna be gimped and killed a second time more easily, that will add MORE debuff on myself.
3) gold to remove the debuff is fine and dandy...until you find you gotta walk to the scarce npcs around the world to pay for the debuff removal.
In other words, you are pvping and get killed in lets say 1 minute, you start walking to the npc that removes the debuff, it takes you quite a lot of walking back and forth, then you start pvping again and get killed in 30 seconds...doubt you are up for another run....
now about PvE...are you really going to quit a raid to go to the NPC and get back? are your friends really gonna wait for you?
when do you expect to finish that raid? april next year?
4) and last, considering the current CS prices, if someone is going to sell one of those in the AH, you can easily be looking at 3 weeks of straight gold farming just to pay for it. Being so expensive IRL, I bet the ingame price will be outrageous...
I actually mentioned IN GAME,when i was playing it that it had the already apparent design of being a huge item mall game.It gave that feeling when i was only like level 10,so i thought my god this game is going to rob people blind who decide to play past level 20.
You are NEVER going to get a game that has had some effort put into it,you will ALWAYS get low end graphics, vanilla game play, and you are ALWAYS 100% going to have a developer who is in it for the money ,not the game, there is NO such thing as free in this world.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

You get 15 once, which last maybe a two days when levelling up. And after that you get 1 per day from a daily quest. If you want to purchase them with in-game cash, prepare to grind like a monkey to get enough gold to support your weekly PvP or PvE needs.
They fucked this game up. So many left when they introduced Fear of Death and now they lost even more customers. While a small minority may have reasons why they think it is a good system, it simply was a game breaker for me. This game was uninstalled when they decided not to change the system. Pity, I thought it was rather fun.

nha !player will just play without the shiny toy!only a very limited few will buy the allyou can eat buf and it wont garanty wins
it will just make thing interesting for the good gamer!
I was debating between playing WoW tonight and grinding on the same content or going back to open beta for Allods. After I saw the cash shop items, first word that popped into my mind, "greedy SOBs."
I will be uninstalling the game tonight and maybe catching a movie instead.
Also, I have a career, I have the money to buy these items and then some. Just because I have the money doesn't mean i'm stupid. The last thing I want to do is support a company where its ONLY goal is money. Yeah, that's the goal of every company but I don't feel scammed when I pay 15 bucks to play WoW or any other game.
Cash shop is not a bad idea in and of itself. But when the items you sell are part and parcel to the quality of the game, and place some people at a competitive disadvantage, then the buck stops here.
Good luck with your game... I won't be supporting any of it.
I won't pvp much so I won't use them fast like you think and why would you use the potions at lvl 15 or whenever you make the 15 potion quests? you get a big disease on lvl 25 or so why should you waste them on the early levels?
I'll still gonna try the game and hope they reduce the prices on the cash shop but that is not something that would make me want to stop from a game if I can live without them since some of them are also droppable ingame.
I actually mentioned IN GAME,when i was playing it that it had the already apparent design of being a huge item mall game.It gave that feeling when i was only like level 10,so i thought my god this game is going to rob people blind who decide to play past level 20. I know there's no such thing as free in this world. Of course F2P games live from their itemshops. But the way gPotato is pushing it now is just outrageous! Look at the prices and imagine a good PvP day at maxed level. And then imagine how things went in your previous PvP game. Even if you're real good at PvPing, you will die at least once a day.
This will mean you will either have to wait for hours before the debuffs are over, or you pay $ 13,50 per day to play.
Well, I love to pay for a game, even through the itemshop (like I normally do). But as things look now, I'm sure to skip Allods completely, and considering to stay away from all other gPotato games I have played in the past and the ones they might publish in the future...
Absolute joke, and there's really no need to go into details either, it goes without saying, I hope they crash and burn. God damn if they get away with it, I hope people are not that stupid.
Haha wow i just saw the news on massively 5 minutes before i was going to download the game, glad i didnt. If gpotato actually goes through with those prices, all that hype is gonna go and the game will be forgotten...hell a lot of people are quitting already.

OMFG
This game was so promising, but right now I can only think of one thing:
DEINSTALL
...and I've done so *feels sad*

You do realize that most of the cash shop items can be found as random drops in game right?
I already have found 5 cash shop items over 2 toons including one of the backpack upgrades.
Oh not to forget they are not wiping after open beta so what we find and what they toss us and what is bugged we get to keep,
Agree. Why bother with them ? They are certainly P2P alternative that offers a much better quality and value.

yeah, sadly I took it off.
It just seems to me to be a bit too much of a hassle on my part. Especially if I'm in a contested area, pick up one of these pvp flags and get killed.
I can easily see spending too much money on such things.
