I won't pvp much so I won't use them fast like you think and why would you use the potions at lvl 15 or whenever you make the 15 potion quests? you get a big disease on lvl 25 or so why should you waste them on the early levels? I'll still gonna try the game and hope they reduce the prices on the cash shop but that is not something that would make me want to stop from a game if I can live without them since some of them are also droppable ingame.
From what I understand...you won't always have a CHOICE of "how much" you PvP.
Haha wow i just saw the news on massively 5 minutes before i was going to download the game, glad i didnt. If gpotato actually goes through with those prices, all that hype is gonna go and the game will be forgotten...hell a lot of people are quitting already.
Well considering most quit when FoD was not fixed that's probably approx 150 Players right there gone for good
The 500 that stuck it out? Well take 3/4 off and if CS stays in current inception expect that much to leave
Yeah noone in their right mind is going to pay those prices. I just got back from visiting the official forums to see what the fallout was like, and pretty much everything on the numerous threads and hundreds of posts about it are negative. Granted, you can play the game without spending a dime in the cash shop, though it makes it a lot more annoying and difficult. I am hoping that once they realize noone's buying their digital crack they will drop their prices to something more in line with the industry norm...

take it or leave it ,in the end usa isnt a big enough market for them to bother !they supply it because other english speaking country will digg it if they get 10k player from usa fine its a bonus but they dont count on that to put bread on their table!
I played this in closed beta, and decided it would be my side game for when I just need to take a breather.
I could still do this without using the cash shop, and play it fine (as it'd be only played occasionally), but, I have gone ahead and deleted this out of principle. I don't mind the cash shop model. I don't mind spending my real cash in it if I feel so inclined. I will not, however, be lied to. One reason I was excited for this game and suggested it to several friends was because of the Dev teams promises of a fair/balanced cash shop model.
Well, it has been uninstalled, I honestly do not know why I expected more from gpotatoe or any F2P for that matter.
That will most likely be my last f2p try, I will stick to real mmo's going forward.

Anyone defending this doesn't know what reasonable CS prices for a F2P game normally are, nor do they know Gpotato's history. The prices for things are very exorbitant and are just a continued trend of what people have known for a long time. Gpotato is a bunch of greedy bastards. Every game they've backed has had exceptionally high CS prices. There is a vast difference between getting reasonable return to keep your game running, and charging through the roof for key items because you know you can. FFS, look at the cash shop pricing for something like Jade Dynasty (which is a bit on the higher side) and the cost for bank expansion is almost HALF that of Allods as I recall.
I don't agree with this "you must have this to PVP!/RAID/PvE/ETC!" crowd because honestly, it's bullshit min/maxer thinking. You'd do just fine without it, you just have to rely more on yourself and the situation than a $3 potion. However, that's not the point, as the bigger point is the sheer amount of disrespect they've shown with this pricing. I'm sorry, but they really had a chance to prove something with the F2P model here as they actually had a quality and interesting game in their hands, but once again, the primary flaw in F2P, having to trust the honesty of the publisher for pricing, has ruined yet another highly promising game.
greedy means !pay first see later!here you can play for free as much as you want but if you want cash store item it will cost
they dont break your arm to buy lol it makes me laugh the game is there and its free ALL FREE.can you say that from blizzard wow.or soe eq.hell no you want to see wow that will be around 100$ for the whole game then add monthly
if you take otion security it cost if you transfer server it cost etc etc etc
i know a lot of player that will be happy to play this for free they ll even buy 1 item once a month to make sure game stays open!

You don't seem to get it. It's not the fact that "baww item shop items cost money". It's the fact that the pricing is completely unreasonable and a slap in the face. I'm sure plenty of people, myself included, would have had no problem dropping what would have amounted to a regular subscription in the item mall to keep the game running if we enjoyed it, and gotten things for ourselves in the process. That's a bit hard however when Gpotato is price gouging like nobodies business and charging $20 minimum for half of the items in the first place.
I'm actually making no further comment on this until I see further developments on it. I just went into the game and actually looked at the shop, and things actually aren't that bad. Most of the one time use items like the backpack upgrade etc are $20, but the bank one is $15 and the only other one is that thing for the "next rank of patronage" which I'm not sure what thats for. Assuming they can also drop in game, I don't see a huge problem with that. Everything else is just potions and your usual mystery boxes for taking a gamble which are pretty fairly priced at about 2.50 for most of them. I could see it being expensive if you were someone who decided "I MUST HAVE THIS BUFF AT ALL TIMES!" but I think the point is that you DON'T run around with a giant stockpile of these. It's only expensive and "required" if everyone decides its expensive and required. Otherwise its just something there if you need/want a boost for a special occasion.
Sorry, I don't like Gpotato as much as anyone else, but I'm not seeing the "OMG DAMNING EVIDENCE" that is being thrown around. I should have known better that it's just the usual "OH WAIT f2p games have cash shops I forgot! Outrage!"
In fact, anyone deciding if the cash shop is worth bailing over should probably read this and make their decision. Fairly well thought out information on the cash shop and what its effects will likely be.
Basically, it's not a huge deal. You might get slightly edged out by someone else, but keeping in mind that that person probably blew almost $500 on a miniscule and mostly temporary advantage would let me get over it real quick, especially when I watch him die with his uber expensive items anyway. Granted, this can change in the future, but for that you need to wait ant see /=.
Was never going to buy anything from these jokers anyway but I see people saying they would pay $15-20 dollars a month in CS items to play this. Thing is its not even worth that - at best its a 1/4 of what WoW or any other top p2p mmo is so realistically somewhere around $5 a month MAX in cash shop items should be MORE than enough to stay competitive.
Well, if you think they're trying to milk only EU and SU players, you're wrong. They're trying to milk everyone, including Ru players)) Just read their forums
Well, market forces will ultimately decide how successful this business model of theirs is. It's up to the players to vote with their wallets. Why wouldn't they charge $20 for a bag upgrade if enough people pay for it? On the other hand, they may overplay their hand and drive away all their potential customers. Certainly this is not a good trend or healthy for the MMO genre, but who are we really going to blame if this is successful, gpotato or the legions of customers who support them?
oh I know there's a RU OB player that frequents the US/EU forums Though now after he's seen OUR Cash Shop he said and I Quote: Wow, I thought for sure Russian players would migrate here and play but now it might be other way around
Oh, great) I considered migrating, too))) $20 is too much, due to exchange rates it can be up to 10% of month salary (low salary of course). Thjs bag in Ru costs about 1% or even a little less, of not-so-big month salary.
I think, the developers just raised the price to match your income))))) They lust money)))

The players, for sure... I don't think the players are going to let it happen in that game though, not with the death penalty the way it is, but if they do, they deserve everything they get.
And in 5 years, when the youngin's wake up it's gonna be to late. Then everyone will flock to Guild Wars 2

What I wanted to say is that I played jade dynasty for more then a month it's a F2P and their company imo has almost forced cash shop in the higher levels which is not optional in some of the items. What I mean is the items in the item mall don't drop in game not even similar ones BUT you could buy them from other people with your ingame money.
I bought 2 mounts (15-20 $ each), upgraded bag 4 times (2$ each) upgraded stash 4/5 times (1$ each) bought 2 flying "mount" a floatng blade (20 $ each) and to give you an example of the rating to ingame gold the floating blade costed me on 300-400 gold each the mounts were on 200-300 gold each and stash/bag 25-80 gold each.
All of those with in-game gold.
What I want to point out by this? I'm just saying that if the gameplay is not boring and I can get a decent enough of money ingame with a little patience I could buy some of these stuff.
1) Russians were paying 1/10 the prices in their cash shop, and already protested they were way off.
and I really mean 1/10, every item in the US cash shop is the same as in the RU cash shop's dollar equivalent, with an extra 0
they pay $2 for the bag, we pay $20
2) the bag is not 24 extra slots. its 24 slots, period. it replaces your basic 18-slots one. so you are paying $20 for 6 extra slots
to out into perspective, you are paying for 6 slots MORE than it costs a whole month subscription to WoW, a FAR better game, with a fuk ton more content and players, and no overly restrictive game mechanics like FOD
its I-N-S-A-N-E
3) endgame revolves around perfumes.
you cannot pvp without perfumes
you will have a terrible time wiping trash mobs in endgame raids
you simply WONT down and endgame boss without perfume
this game is the example of why F2P games suck to no extend
And guess what folks, despite the cost of mall items, you can still play the game free of charge. No one is forcing you to buy anything at all. If you feel forced then that's your own attitude about the game.
Don't expect p2p experiences in a f2p game. If you want the competitive nature of a p2p game then Allods is not for you. Perhaps free online chess or checkers is more your f2p style?
Point being, if you come into this game with a "I'm going to be the best PVPer in the world and own all without spending a dime" attitude, then you're way off base. Allods doesn't force you to pay a dime to play. Please don't expect to get your cake and eat it too in a f2p game.

Very true... Only they're charging you $20.00 for a 6 slot bag. Also, this perfume seems ridiculously overpriced. For what it does, I don't even think it should be a Cash Shop item.

I told you all they will RIP you off, i got flamed for it.
This game and their developers are greedy as hell.
For Russians, US Americans and Europeans are Cows to squeek out the last drop of milk.....
If you play this game its your own fault, dont complain when you die and you need to buy the CS item to be able to continue to play.

You can always exchange ingame cash for real cash items. Although you might need a few million, but the possibility is there.
Just wait until the game economy has settled.
