"BioWare, LucasArts, and EA may have the next big MMO on the marketplace."

There it is, finally it has been said. I honestly believe that this is going to be true.

The Black Knight Brotherhood, or more simply BKB, was formed almost eleven years ago. During those eleven years, we have accumulated members from multiple countries with experience in many MMO's such as AOC, DAOC, Darkfall, Fallen Earth, EVE, Ikariam, LOTRO, SWG, WAR, and WWII Online. In each of these games, BKB has consistently formed a well known, respected, and highly successful guild chapter. Several of these chapters are still in operation, and we are now looking to expand into the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic. We will be playing as Sith, and our focus will be on PVP and high-end raiding.

In this endeavor, we are looking for mature gamers of all play-styles and experience levels. From hardcore to casual, MMO veterans or rookies, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse player base. As many of us have real life concerns such as work, school, and raising families, we don’t set minimum play time amounts or times where all members are expected to be on. What we want are quality gamers who are committed to building a close knit community through interaction on our forums and voice-communication in-game. Players who can handle themselves and don’t need officers or other leaders to baby-sit them and are committed to helping their guild prosper and grow.

We already have many of our long-time members, some of whom have been with BKB since the beginning, in place as we set out to make our mark in the Star Wars universe. Now all we need is you. If you are interested in becoming a part of our community, please see our website here. We ask that you read our Code of Conduct and then register on the site. Once your registration is approved, you can then begin posting on the forums and introducing yourself to everyone. We can’t wait to meet you.

Cant wait for this to come out already!  Our guild is being forced to play lesser MMOs while waiting... Bioware help us... you are our only hope!

Love > people getting hurt to force you to do things....Don't ever try working in dangerous persuits if you want to have a family.  Its not fair to them if you hang a target on their head..The jedi way embraces love without the selfish persuits of self gratification etc...What happens in the CIA when you get married and have children?  They give you a desk job. Pull you from dangerous situations etc...One last thing. Its a game not a lifestyle choice.

I'm stilly really looking forward to this game. But I keep seeing posts like this where they are saying the game is so far is just better then MANY MMOs out there. But really I don't think that's hard to do when considering most MMOs out there right now are simple WoW clones or only half assed in some other way.

Perhaps I'm still asking for too much, even from ol' Bioware.

Corrected your former quote for you. It isn't just about anger or hate, but giving in to your strongest emotions. In the Sith ideology your own needs and wants come first, anything else is secondary to that, even rules or laws or the needs or rights of others.

About the preview, all in all a good, informative one. Seems today is the release of the NDA that was on the 6 hour demo play session, a lot of demo reports around on several sites.

Well, A) Sith are rather slaves of their passions, not a very cool thing either and B) all Sith I can remember were more or less solely dominated by the emotion of hate. There are so many passions, but I have't yet seen a Sith really living for love or food or whatever passion there could be. It's all a big ego trip.

Awesome - Sith seems to fit me perfectly :D

Man, to say I am hyped about this game is an understatement, BioWare, please don't let me down!

    :D

  • Personally I fear that this game will be just one big, albeit well-done, themepark. You're held on your hand and more or less led through a story, unlike the very open-world and sandbox-style SWG.

I know this is Bioware and telling great stories in a rather linear way is what they do best - and I love their games. I just can't help but feel it won't be enough to justify calling this a MMORPG. Yeah you'll play with others, yeah there will be all kinds of things to do.. but it's not an open world and in the end of the day it might just fail due to that for me. Could be a great ride, I just hope that there will be more to it, otherwise it won't take more than a couple months to be burned out here.

Sounds like it will be a pretty good game and I'm really looking forward to it. The one thing that kept killing me in this story however was you kept spelling padawan wrong.

Sorry, I couldn't let it go.

What I took away from this is that a diplomatic class was introduced to the game by being told to go kill 15 flesh eaters.

Obscene amounts of money, and this is what they do with it. image Bravo, Bioware.
