I dont think either ESO and TSW will win against LoTRO.
If TSW wins then I can see many people voting for LoTRO just so TSW loses. And the same if ESO wins many people will vote LoTRO just so ESO loses. In the end it will be pointless.
I think I like various things AND dislike various things in both TSW and ESO on about an equal level. I also own a copy of each and have played both roughly the same amount which is about 2-3 weeks total each. However, after seeing how both of their communities have carried themselves on their own forums and here, I will *tip my hat* to the TSW community even though they eliminated GW2 last round *tear*.
It's looks like We (ESO/ESO fans) will win but if i have to choose the biggest winner of this competition i would choose TSW community. TSW is a very lucky game with such players. Hugs, sweet rolls and mudcrab cakes for you.
PS. And don't be mad because some of us, we are mostly quite nice guys.
If you win I'm sure I won't be alone in voting for you next round.
If.
It's still as close as a REDACTED in a REDACTED's REDACTED.

Um, if TSW loses and LotRO wins, is it ok if I vote for the one I've actually played and like somewhat? I just want to be clear before I vote that I'm not casting a HATEVOTE when I vote against ESO because I know nothing about it and DGAF about it in any way.
LotRo continues to have the most committed and long standing following and that's why it's winning against EVE. EVE is good and at one time had a strong player base, but its glory days are long gone.
I've played all the games in this poll, but which game do I keep coming back to time and time again when the rest disappoint? LotRo.
Because as good as EVE is, it has never had the player numbers of LotRo and won't get the votes. There are probably people voting for EVE either just because they heard it was a serious sandbox game, or they are LotRo haters.

I voted for LotR over Eve because although I played both, and both were really good, fantasy MMO's tend to always do better than Sci-Fi. The market for them is also larger. I also enjoyed LotR a bit more with regard to the RPG standpoint.
Although I last played the game during beta and for a year after. Looking back, I'm honestly surprised it made it this far and even surprised it's beating Eve; however, a lot of those votes are from people voting for ESO/TSW and probably haven't really played much of both.
I hope a revitalization to the lore has a developer look towards making a new LotR MMO with a far more grandious scale.
In my Opinion ESO is better than TSW but that is just an opinion.
So, lets go off facts.
TSW required settings is ESO minimum require settings.
So, by power alone ESO needs a better computer to play on.(fact)
ESO has over 10,000 NPCs and TSW has just over 7,000.(fact)
ESO has over 61 million items in the game and TSW does not state it. I would assume lower but cannot prove.
You have more Character various in ESO than TSW(fact).
In ESO all NPCs has a voice.(fact)
I am sure if got all the specs and how much updates arrive per month. ESO would pull ahead.
So, to say TSW is better is only by opinion because by the numbers it falls short. I am sorry. I have played many MMO's and playing ESO I see a bright future if they stay the course.
Lord of the Rings? I just don't see how it even got so far.
The problem with saying something is a fact and not including links to where they got the facts from makes it an opinion. Anyone can type up something and put (fact) at the end of it.(fact)

It is quite amusing that some of you think that hate is what is driving the voting in these polls. You cannot imagine that the game you favour is losing so it must be driven hate huh? We do think highly of our opinions I guess.
ROFL lotro isnt doing that shit xD eso must really wanna win

I'm trying not to laugh at all the folks discussing why they can't believe one game is winning over another. Apparently, many of you have no idea how this poll works.
It's what makes MMO players so..."special." They are ruled more by hate and negativity than bliss and contentment. If this was truly a "popularity" contest, WoW would be killing everybody. But the fact that WoW was eliminated by LOTRO shows that it has more people that despise/hate the game than love LOTRO.
If this was true, WoW would have been voted out in the first round. It was not and won a few rounds against other games.
exactly, silkakc nailed it.

I see a lot of frustrated fans of TSW bad mouthing the ESO community and accusing them of cheating and being inconsiderate or whatever. Personally, I have both games installed and play them both casually, I will not compare them as they are totally different games, but I would like to say something, TSW fans say ESO players and devs are cheating by pushing the votes on the forums and ingame, first off, a TSW forum post is what started all of it, ESO players weren't even aware of the voting until it started to get pushed on the TSW forums, so do not blame the ESO community for using the same tactics as you are, the only difference is that it's working for them , because it's a bigger community. Secondly, informing the players of an ongoing vote is logical, a lot of players aren't aware of this competition, and for it to be as valid as it can be, there must be as many votes as possible, someone needs to get the word out. When there's a public voting going on for car of the year, all companies will mention it on their website, ads and commercials, it's very legit to do so. Also, I logged in into both games since the voting started, and in ESO, you don't hear anyting mentioned about TSW players or the voting, as when I logged in TSW, that's all I could hear, how ESO players and the game suck. So again, I will not say one game is better than the other, I do prefer a little ESO over TSW, but I like both games for what they are. So everyone should just stop trying to find reasons for losing or winning, just enjoy this friendly competition and let the best game win.

What the hell are you smoking? No single fan of TSW in here has accused ESO of cheating. Quite the contrary, some ESO fans accused us of cheating in the beginning. And again, THERE WAS NEVER ANY POST FROM A DEV ANYWHERE.
I don't mind ESO winning but, reading lies every 5 minutes is a bit annoying.

Wasn't there a post from a TSW community manager? I think the point was *someone* from Funcom posted asking TSW players to vote. Which I might add is a good thing, support the game. :-)
I agree that Golarum saying "a lot of frustrated fans of TSW" is totally worthless without links or quotes or some evidence pointing to all of the supposedly angry TSW fans attacking ESO. Same thing with "TSW fans say ESO players and devs are cheating by pushing the votes on the forums and ingame". Links please?

What you just posted is the biggest load of bull's faeces in this entire thread...
Semi-finals would have looked different if Anet and Blizzard bothered to post a single thread on forum or give a notice on the game client that they would appreciated the players' support to the game by voting.
Keep dreaming..WoW doesnt even have 3mil subs in the West anymore, they are bleeding subs left and right. Before 2015 ends they wont even have 1mil subs in the west. Add on top of that they would probably win only a competiton "worst mmo of 2014". WoW is the most hated MMO created and rightfully so.

I logged into TSW and only saw a few bad words about ESO, it was mostly people shouting to vote, rally's etc.
What I will agree with is this though, when I logged onto ESO, I checked Cyrodiil as well as PVE, I saw one mention about this poll. It was rediculous. Mostly in Cyrodiil it was drowned out by war shouts for leading raids and groups, taking keeps, etc. So that could be why I didn't see much.
Either way, good run guys, on to the Finals but I fear I know what will come of that.
And good luck next week in your all viking fight... Iceland vs. Norway, who would have thunk it?
You'll get my vote.

I logged into ESO and went through some zones asking people if they voted. Most responses can be summed up with this.
"It's MMORPG, nobody cares"
and
"We're too busy enjoying the game"
That explains some things in terms of low ESO turnout. However, this is all before the awaited 1.6 patch colloquially named ESO v2.0.
